✨VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT — JAIME

Jaime and his family have been involved with BMX for about two years, and it all started with simply giving Carter something new to try.

The family first came out so their son, Carter, could try BMX while he was between sports. As his twin sisters, Kimber and Kinley, watched, they quickly decided they wanted to give it a try too.

From there, it took off fast. Before long, all three kids were racing, the whole family was hooked, and even Mom and Dad found themselves getting out on the track every once in a while.

Jaime has worked in the construction trade for years, so he’s no stranger to equipment, tools, and hands-on work. He is able to jump in and help, and at the start of this year he helped prep the track for the season and assisted in the remodeling of a few of the jumps.

Whether he’s helping with equipment, working on the track, cheering on Carter, Kimber, and Kinley, putting up with Amber, or just enjoying race days with the family, Jaime has become a familiar face around Cedar Rapids BMX.

What started as something for Carter to try has turned into something their whole family now enjoys together.

🏆 AWESOME JOB, CR BMX! 🏆

CR BMX finished 3rd out of 56 tracks at the Gold Cup Championship with an incredible 771 points! 🔥

We are so proud of every rider who showed up, raced hard, and represented Cedar Rapids BMX! Way to go, CR BMX! 🏁

🏁🎓 BEGINNER LEAGUE GRADUATION & RACE DAY! 🎓🏁

Saturday was such a great day at Cedar Rapids BMX as our Beginner League riders wrapped up an awesome week of learning, practicing, and building confidence! 🚲❤️

They got to put all that hard work to the test on race day, and it was so much fun watching them take the gate, race the track, and show everyone how far they’ve come.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our coaches and volunteers who gave their time throughout the week to help these future BMX racers learn and grow. And thank you to all the parents who signed their kids up, encouraged them, and gave them the chance to experience BMX!

Congratulations to all of our graduates! 🎓🏆 We hope to see many of these future shredders back at the track for plenty more race days!
