EOP’s **Community Giveaway Event** is coming up on **Thursday, August 27!**

Families who meet income eligibility guidelines can receive help with **food, school supplies, backpacks, diapers, and utility assistance** while supplies and funding last.

**11:00 AM–3:00 PM**
**Ernie Davis Community Center Gym**
350 East 5th Street, Elmira

Distribution will be **first come, first served**, so families are encouraged to arrive early.

**Proof of income is required** — such as paystubs, tax documents, or HEAP/SNAP award letters.

Pre-registration is **not required, but strongly encouraged**. Use the link or QR code on the flyer to register ahead of time.

What a weekend! So proud of these two young athletes Jamaree Mines & jovonisswag they showed up, fought their hardest, and came away with a valuable experience! While we didn’t yield the results we “wanted” it’s a massive step in the right direction and hats off to Coach Chris Rodriguez and his two fighters were not only tough competitors, but class acts before, during & after the fights! Hats off to them and all the respect which is what it’s all about!

Both fighters, despite taking good shots, found a way to dig deep and make it to the final bell! Jamaree after being down the first two rounds came out and was able to get a standing 8 count on his opponent and finished the final round strong and would have loved to see him go one more round.

Jovon came out and took a big shot early, but bounced back against an awkward opponent who was non stop in his face, he weathered the storm, outboxed him, but didn’t get what was a very close decision!

This sport brings people together like no other, and we made some very good contacts this weekend for future endeavors that I am overly excited about. We already have our eye on the next one, Sept. 19th with more details to follow!

Thanks for everyone who reached out, asked how they did, and just the support along the way. Means the world to us!
Onward and upward and can’t wait to build off this past weekend.. Shout out to the City of Rochester and the whole Puerto Rican festival, what a great overall experience & event

Nice to host the 2026 Youth Entrepreneurs from IncubatorWorks summer program! They first had the honor to check out LECOM Event Center and see how big business works, and then come over right across the street and learn about small business, community connections, and how it all works together!

Entrepreneurship isn’t easy! By any means, but I love it and being part of so many moving parts! I’m truly blessed for our small, but mighty space and all we contribute to!

Downtown Elmira is certainly in a Renaissance era and we’re just getting started! THE FUTURE IS SAFE 👌🏻 🔒

🚨 3 DAYS UNTIL MAYHEM — AND THE ARENA IS APPROACHING SELLOUT! 🚨

This Saturday, the LECOM Event Center will shake with the roar of monster trucks, flat track motorcycles, quads, go-karts and nonstop motorsports action.

Seats are disappearing quickly, so waiting until the last minute is a gamble you do not want to take.

We still have some VIP Pit Pass upgrades available for the pre-show Pit Party, but those are running out too. Get up close to the trucks before the engines fire up for the main show!
