I want to introduce you to our new coach Christine Galvin!💪🏻
Christine is a coach, an athlete and an insulin dependent diabetic.
As a disabled professional athlete, Christine has a unique perspective on what wellness looks like and its potential to be truly life changing. She believes that everyone owes it to themselves to find a path to wellness that they enjoy whether it’s strength training, yoga, gardening or walking - there is something out there for everyone!
Christine left the corporate world in 2012 and has been a fitness professional ever since, working with clients to improve their lives through wellness with a focus on education and sustainable habits.
Like most women, Christine has struggled to define wellness her whole life. Having lived in a small, lean body, and in a heavier, thicker body, she only ever felt comfortable in her skin when she finally picked up a barbell at the age of 28. With a renewed focus on becoming stronger, she was able to find joy in training and properly fueling her body rather than focusing on weight loss like she had her whole life.
Lifting was one of the few things in life that felt fair- the correlation between effort and results was incredibly addicting. After 10 years of training and competing, Christine became the 2nd Strongest Masters Lightweight Woman in the world.
She loves to empower others through wellness and hopes to help you find your fitness.
Aside from training and volunteering at competitions, Christine loves to travel, cook, read and learn new things.
She just moved back to the states after 2 years in Europe and currently lives in Ellington with her girlfriend Dori and rescue dogs: Beanie, Casper and Titan.
