Some horse-and-rider partnerships just... don't work.
And that's OK.
One of the hardest decisions we make as horse owners is admitting that love and effort aren't always enough to make a partnership successful. It doesn't mean you failed. It doesn't mean your horse failed. Sometimes it simply means you're not the right match for each other.
This week's Thoroughbred Logic tackles one of the most emotional topics in horse ownership: knowing when it's time to move on and, just as importantly, how to rehome a horse responsibly.
It covers:
π΄ How to recognize a mismatch
π΄ Questions you need to ask yourself before making the decision
π΄ Why "Free to Good Home" can be a dangerous choice
π΄ DIY sales vs. consignment vs. aftercare organizations
π΄ How honesty gives horses the best chance at finding the right next home
