For over 50 years, families and snowsports enthusiasts from miles around have converged on HoliMont – North America’s largest private ski area devoted to generations of outdoor family fun. Generations of members have been drawn in by the amazing skiing, only to fall in love with the warm, community atmosphere that makes HoliMont the kind of place you never want to leave. Now members and guests can enjoy the social and outdoor experiences all seasons with the opening of the HoliMont Bike Park in 2021. And while a sense of community can’t be manufactured, snow and trails are a different story. Our patented snowmaking system creates 700 vertical feet of wall-to-wall, top-to-bottom snow. Combine that with an average of 200 inches of natural snow per season, and you’re guaranteed a great run every time. Our Trail crew has been maintaining and adding new trails each year for a total of 17 trails and over 12 miles. During the week, we are happy to welcome non-members and groups, who can forget about standing around shivering in long lines. Our eight lifts service over 50 slopes and trails, as well as the Terrain Parks competitive venues. So whether you’re a member or visitor, skier, rider, or mountain biker, parent or child, come to HoliMont and make your outdoor adventures come to life in any season.

🚨 INCOMING 🚨

A pretty special delivery just landed at HoliMont. Our fleet of Bowhead adaptive mountain bikes has arrived!

Made possible through the incredible generosity of our membership during last season’s Men’s Day, these bikes represent another big step toward making the HoliMont Bike Park a place where everyone can experience the freedom of riding our mountain.

Next up: training, learning, testing, and working alongside our Phoenix Adaptive crew to prepare for the launch of adaptive mountain biking at HoliMont.

This is what Keep Building looks like — removing barriers, creating opportunities, and making sure generations of outdoor family fun truly means all families and all abilities.

Okay… we promise this is a different Greer post. 😂❄️

While the Lift Crew has been getting the chair dialed in, our Snowmaking Team has been digging in — literally.

A new 8-inch snowmaking line is making its way down Greer.

You think the OG Ellicottville ski crew ever imagined an aerial lift and top-to-bottom snowmaking while they were boot-packing natural snow to the summit just so they could hang the rope and get a day of skiing in?

Different equipment. Same hill. Same incredible view. And generations later, we’re still finding ways to make Greer better.

Keep Building. Winter is coming. 💪❄️

Precision matters. 🚡🎯

With the grout removed, the next step on Greer is all about getting the towers exactly where they need to be.

Our Lift Maintenance crew is working tower by tower, using surveying equipment, measurements from the ground, and eyes on the line from above to make precise adjustments to the alignment. Move. Measure. Check. Adjust. Check again.

When you look up a lift line, everything may appear simple — towers, cable, chairs. Behind that simplicity is an incredible amount of precision, patience, experience, and attention to detail.

This Greer project has been a great showcase of exactly that. It’s not about making something look straight. It’s about getting the entire system properly aligned and ready for many more seasons.

A lot of work for adjustments measured in small increments and another reason to be proud of the crew taking care of this mountain.

Dialing it in, one tower at a time.

It all starts at the foundation.

The next step in our Greer project takes us all the way to the bottom — literally.

To bring the lift towers back into improved alignment, our Lift Maintenance crew first has to create room to make those adjustments. That means chipping out decades-old grout around the tower bases, freeing things up so each tower can be precisely repositioned before being secured back in place.

It’s heavy, detailed work that most people will never see once the chairs are spinning again — but it’s exactly what goes into taking care of the infrastructure that keeps HoliMont moving.

Chip it out. Dial it in. Build it back better.

What a way to break in the newest trail at the HoliMont Bike Park. A big crew, faulty confetti cannons, plenty of party laps, and more than a few bikes getting airborne!

Paper Route was built to be a fun, progressive jump trail—a place to get comfortable leaving the ground, build confidence, dial in your skills, and keep progressing lap after lap. Whether you’re hitting your first jumps or looking to add a little more style, this trail is for you.

📬 ONE WEEK OF PAPER ROUTE! 🚲💨

It didn’t take long for this one to become a favorite.

It’s officially been one week since we dropped the tape on Paper Route, and we’ve loved watching riders of all ages session the new line, build confidence, catch some air, and come back around for another lap.

From some pretty low-key roots in the 1960s to the robust collection of alpine, freestyle, snowboard, recreational, and adaptive programs we have today, HoliMont has always believed in the power of snowsports to bring people together.

We’re incredibly proud to announce that HoliMont has earned Bronze Certified Club status from U.S. Ski & Snowboard — recognizing our commitment to athlete development, coaching, organizational excellence, and building strong programs for the future.
