The NLA Lady Bobcats Volleyball team concluded a great week in athletics with a huge win at Columbia High School to go 2-0 for the week. The team, dealing with injuries and sickness, came out strong to take the 1st & 2nd sets before dropping the tightly contested 3rd & 4th sets. The team showed determination and dominated the 5th set to secure the win. JV & Varsity return to the road on 9/21 as they head south to Ahoskie with Varsity soccer heading north to play the Patriots of Portsmouth Christian.

The Bobcats completed a slate of home games against the crosstown rival Eagles on Tuesday evening winning three out of the four games. First up the middle school volleyball team won a back and forth match in the decisive 3rd set, followed by a close loss in the third set by the JV team.
The varsity boys soccer team showed out on their home field taking a 6-3 win to notch their 2nd win of the season. In the final game of the evening the varsity volleyball team came back to win after dropping the first set. The Lady Bobcats showed tremendous resilience as they trailed at some point in each set before taking control.
Soccer returns to the field Thursday 9/17 to take on the Rock Lions while the JV Volleyball team faces off vs the visiting Lady Lions in a double header starting at 4.

Last night we took time to remember 9/11, to remember the victims, and the heroes, so that we will never forget the cost of our freedom. We are also grateful for those that continue to serve like Roger Dunaway and the volunteers at Pasquotank Providence Volunteer Fire Department. Thank you Mr Dunaway for joining us and representing your station that does so much for our community.

Online athletics gear stores close early Wednesday! Don’t miss out!

Looking for some fresh faces to volunteer this week, please keep in mind volunteers are crucial on gameday and is the responsibility of every parent.

$100 sport fee is due 9/15.

Volleyball players can meet in the sanctuary after school and ride the van to practice.
