Last night’s sound bath was such a beautiful experience. A chance to slow down, breathe deeply, release what no longer serves, and simply be. Grateful for the peaceful energy, the healing sounds, and the beautiful souls who shared the space.

Yesterday was another beautiful reminder of the magic that happens when women gather with open hearts.

We moved, laughed, shared, released, connected, and held space for one another. From the Wild Creek Plunge to nourishing food, sister circle, journaling, and ending in the deep stillness of a restorative soundbath… every moment felt intentional.

So much gratitude for each beautiful soul who showed up and trusted the process. Thank you for bringing your energy, your stories, your vulnerability, and your light into our little corner of nature.

Sisterhood is sacred. Connection is healing. And sometimes, we simply need a safe space to be held. 🫶🏼

A LITTLE FORAGING MAGIC AT SANDY CREEK

It’s been a while since I’ve had the chance to forage for so many beautiful edible mushrooms!

The recent rains have really brought the forest floor to life. Our creek property is full of little treasures, including Boletes, Oyster mushrooms, Chanterelle's, Turkey Tails and Amanita Muscaria growing throughout the property.

Boletes have become one of my favorite finds — they bring an incredible earthy flavor to the kitchen and make a wonderful addition to a good meal, especially alongside meats.

This is one of the things we love about Sandy Creek Resort — there is always something new to discover, learn from, and appreciate in nature.

⚠️ A very important reminder:
Never eat a wild mushroom unless you are absolutely certain of its identification. We have several mushroom identification books and have attended multiple foraging classes, and we still approach every find with great care.

Where the Creek Whispers

There is a place where time slows down,
Where weary hearts lay their burdens down.
Where the trees stand tall like ancient friends,
And every winding path gently bends.

The morning mist, the golden light,
The stars that dance through peaceful night.
The fire crackles, warm and bright,
As laughter echoes though the night.

The goats wander with gentle grace,
Bringing joy with each embrace.
Within the Maloca, spirits rise,
Hearts awaken, souls realize
That healing isn't far away—
It lives within each present day.

Kayaks drift on waters clear,
Nature whispers, "You are here."
To breathe, to rest, to simply be,
Held by earth so tenderly.
