Back-to-college prep looks simple from the outside.
Buy the bedding.
Pack the towels.
Grab the desk lamp.
Label a few bins.
Easy, right?
Until you realize nobody knows where the receipts are, whether the laptop is documented, what insurance covers, which items stay home, and where all the emergency details live.
That is the part parents feel.
Not the shopping.
The mental load.
HomeZada helps families keep important home and family details organized in one place โ so college move-in feels less like a scramble and more like a plan.
A few things worth organizing before move-in:
โ
Dorm essentials
โ
Valuable items
โ
Receipts and warranties
โ
Insurance information
โ
Emergency contacts
โ
Move-in, move-out, and storage plans
Because college prep runs better when home runs better.

Homeownership comes with enough surprises. Cleaning products shouldn't be one of them.
One of the easiest ways to avoid costly repairs is knowing what belongs whereโnot just for maintenance, but for cleaning too. Sometimes the shortcut ends up being the expensive route.
What's the worst cleaning advice you've ever received?
H/T to Mรฉnage by Melissa for this reminder to our homeowners.
If a cleaning hack starts with Just use toilet bowl cleaner on it, keep scrolling! ๐คฃ
Toilet Bowl Cleaner Is ONLY for Toilets ๐ฝ
As a professional cleaner with 15 years of experience, I want to clear up a common misconception.
Toilet bowl cleaner is designed specifically for the inside of a toilet bowl. It is highly acidic and can damage many other surfaces, including:
โ Bathtubs
โ Sinks
โ Countertops
โ Grout
โ Natural stone
โ Fixtures and finishes (etc.)
Just because someone on social media uses it somewhere else doesnโt mean itโs safe. In fact, Iโve seen the damage these products can cause firsthand.
Every cleaning product has a purpose. Using the wrong chemical on the wrong surface can lead to discoloration, etching, corrosion, and costly repairs.
Please donโt follow cleaning hacks that recommend using toilet bowl cleaner anywhere other than inside the toilet bowl.
Professional cleaners donโt use toilet bowl cleaner in tubs, sinks, or on countertops and neither should you.
Save yourself the damage and use products that are specifically designed for the surface youโre cleaning. ๐งฝโจ

Tree maintenance is one of those home tasks that's easy to forget until it becomes urgent. Keeping a record of inspections, service dates, and any concerns is just as important as the maintenance itself โ and a lot easier to track than most people think. Great share from Atlas Tree Service, Inc. ๐ก
๐ณ What Homeowners See vs. What Arborists See ๐ณ
Most people see a beautiful tree.
An arborist sees the details that can help keep that tree healthy, safe, and thriving for years to come.
When evaluating a tree, we look for things like:
โ Deadwood that could fall unexpectedly
โ Clearance issues near homes, walkways, driveways, and vehicles
โ Weak branch attachments that may be more prone to failure
โ Structural concerns that could become larger problems over time
The good news? Many tree issues can be addressed long before they become emergencies.
A little preventative maintenance today can help preserve the health, beauty, and safety of your trees for years to come.
Have a tree you're concerned about? We'd be happy to take a look.
