Congratulations to these new Reiki Level I practioners! This past weekend they completed their first degree Reiki training at The Path Wellness Center, Holistic Psychotherapy + Support Services . In this training, they learned about the human energy system, how to self-treat their own body and energy system with Reiki, and how to treat someone else with Reiki using their hands.

Are you interested in learning about Reiki? Our next Reiki Level I training is tentatively scheduled for Saturday April 29, and our next Reiki Level II training will be on Saturday May 20th. This is a hands on training where you will get plenty of practice treating someone with Reiki as well as receiving your own Reiki healing.

✨ Join me THIS Saturday March 18th and Sunday March 19th for my Reiki Level I + II Weekend Training at The Path Wellness Center, Holistic Psychotherapy + Support Services ! ✨

Reiki has been a wonderfully supportive tool in my practice. My clients always comment on how calm they feel after a session where I have incorporated Reiki. Another bonus is that in level I Reiki we learn self Reiki so that we can soothe and balance our own energy and nervous system. This comes in handy for those long client days or when needing to clear your own energy field.

We are made of energy (every atom in your body is vibrating with energy right now), so of course, it makes sense that if we can get that energy moving in the right direction and bring our system back into balance, we will feel better and heal.

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that uses energy to balance all aspects of ourselves: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual.

This is one of my favorite classes to teach! It is an experiential class and while there will be periods of classroom lecture, there will also be plenty of hands-on practice allowing you a chance to both give and receive a full Reiki treatment.

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to sit down with the hosts of the Divinely Curious Podcast , Lovejoy Lightwork and Emily Rose Divination . We talked about Empaths and Highly Sensitive People (HSP) and I shared my perspective on the difference between the two as well as my own experience of being an empath. It was such a fun conversation and we talked so much that we ended up with two episodes (Ep. 9 & 10). 😊

Getting out of our head and back into our body is the number one thing that helps sensitives and empaths come back into balance. Grounding is one way to do this and it is the first tool I teach my empath students. Grounding is the act of physically connecting the systems of our body to the Earth. Letting our bare skin touch the ground is one example of this. Here are a few other activities that can be done easily and work to help ground us. I refer to these as Empath Medicine:

⭐ Get outside and let some sunlight hit your skin directly.
⭐ Immerse yourself in water, or spend time near a large body of water like a lake or the ocean.
⭐ Move your body! This doesn't need to be vigorous exercise, it can be as simple as a walk.
⭐ Take few minutes to stop, breath, and go within.
⭐ Laugh! Find something or someone who can help you see the joy and humor in life.
⭐ Connect with a dear friend, someone who sees you and supports you.

These activites help us re-regulate our nervous system, get out of our heads, and find peace within our bodies, but most importantly, they help us re-connect with ourselves.
