📣 KIDS CLASS SCHEDULE UPDATE
THIS SCHEDULE CHANGE WILL TAKE EFFECT AUGUST 31ST
We’re making a small adjustment to our kids class schedule to make things simpler and more convenient for our Roots families.
After discussing the current schedule with several of our Mini's parents, we concluded that a schedule change needed to take effect. We appreciate the feedback from our families and want to make sure our class times work as well as possible for everyone.
Beginning August 31st, all kids programs will now start at 5:00 PM.
🥊 Mini's Muay Thai (Ages 4–6)
NEW TIME: 5:00–5:30 PM
Previously 4:30–5:00 PM
🥊 Kids Muay Thai (Ages 7–13)
5:00–5:45 PM
This class time remains the same.
Having both classes start at 5:00 PM will make drop-off and scheduling easier for families while allowing our coaching staff to run both age groups at the same time with instruction tailored specifically to each group.
Thank you to the parents who took the time to share their feedback with us, and thank you to all of our Roots families for continuing to grow with us! 🌳🥊

Roots Muay Thai Etiquette Series:
Part 4 – Leave Your Ego at the Door
One of the greatest lessons Muay Thai teaches has nothing to do with punches or kicks.
It teaches humility.
Every person who walks through our doors will make mistakes. You’ll miss combinations. You’ll get caught with shots you didn’t see coming. You’ll struggle with techniques that seem easy for someone else.
That’s part of learning.
The students who improve the fastest aren’t always the strongest or the most athletic—they’re the ones who are willing to listen, accept correction, and keep working.
Your ego can convince you that you have something to prove.
Your character reminds you that you have something to learn.
At Roots, we don’t expect perfection. We expect effort, respect, and a willingness to improve.
Leave your ego at the door, and you’ll be surprised how much you grow. 🙏🥊
Monday work. 🥊
No days off. New bruises. More growth.
These kids are putting in the work. 🔥

There’s something about the old-school Pin Art toy that immediately takes you back. 😂
We keep this one out at Roots because somehow kids, parents, coaches and students all end up stopping to mess with it .
Some of our kids left us a little surprise today — a couple of hearts stacked together. ❤️
Great Friday 👊🥊 We appreciate everyone who spent part of their week with us, whether you were training, watching your kids, hanging out or just stopping by.
Have a great weekend❤️🌳
🥊 Roots Muay Thai Etiquette Series: Part 3 – Sparring Etiquette
Sparring is one of the most valuable tools in Muay Thai—but it should never become an ego contest.
The purpose of sparring is to apply your technique against a live partner, learn from your mistakes, and make each other better.
Good sparring means:
🥊 Leave your ego at the door.
🥊 Stay in control of your power.
🥊 Match your intensity to your partner.
🥊 Don’t celebrate landing a good shot.
🥊 If you accidentally hit too hard, acknowledge it and keep training.
🥊 Help your partner improve instead of trying to prove you’re the toughest person in the room.
At Roots, we believe that everyone should be able to walk out of sparring better than when they walked in—and excited to come back next time.
The best fighters aren’t the ones who beat up their teammates.
They’re the ones who make everyone around them better. 🙏🥊
