Truly can’t stop smiling ear to ear knowing I get to call these women my friends. Friends who humble you, and likewise, are humbled by you. We can’t all be having our best day out there, but we can all choose to not let that get in the way of building each other up. My friends, my competition, my sisters.

Monday is not a breakthrough. Monday is somebody’s knee deciding how much air you get while they explain a detail you will forget by Tuesday!!

Nobody down there is inspired. There’s no is in the zone. You are just waiting for it to end, and then you show up and do it again.

That is the whole secret. It is not a mindset. It is a calendar.

Happy Father’s Day to the men of the house.

Today is Saturday, and the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship in California hasn’t even finished yet, and the black belts only start competing today. However, mathematically, we are already world champions for the sixteenth time, an extraordinary achievement since we have won 16 out of 30 editions.

I never could have imagined that after leaving the Gracie academy and opening my small gym in Ipanema, we would go on to win the World Jiu-Jitsu Championship 16 times with the creation of Alliance in 1993. Congratulations to everyone involved, from our teachers and athletes to my INSEPARABLE black belts, and partners Fabio and Alexandre, who believed in our dream of building this powerful team together.
Thank you for everything 🙏❤️ Hoje é sábado e o Mundial de Jiu Jitsu na California ainda nem acabou e os pretas só começam a lutar hoje.
Porém matematicamente já somos campeões mundiais pela décima sexta vez, um feito extraordinário já que de 30 edições ganhamos 16 vezes.
Nunca poderia eu imaginar que ao sair da academia Gracie e abrir a minha pequena academia Jacaré Jiu Jitsu em Ipanema até o surgimento da Alliance em 1993 ali mesmo conquistaríamos 16 x o campeonato mundial de Jiu Jitsu, parabéns a todos envolvidos desde os nossos professores e atletas até os meus INSEPARÁVEIS faixas pretas Fabio e Alexandre que acreditaram no nosso sonho de construirmos juntos essa poderosa equipe.
