We had the pleasure of meeting Mia at just 7 years old, and what a privilege it has been to truly grow up together. šŸ–¤

From her earliest years of training to now, we’ve been there through the highs, the lows, the breakthroughs, the challenges, the wins and all the growing that happens in between. We’ve watched her technique develop, her confidence grow, and most importantly, watched her become the dancer and young woman she is today.

Now a junior in high school, Mia is preparing for her next chapter with hopes of continuing her dance career on a college dance team.

Project Dance doesn’t just welcome accomplished dancers—we build them. Mia is a beautiful example of a dancer who has been trained, nurtured and developed here from the ground up, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything she has accomplished.

There really is nothing better than watching them grow up right here. šŸ–¤

Victor has been dancing for most of his life with over 35 years of experience. Some of his early training in ballet and modern dance was with the Dance Theater of Harlem, Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet, Nutmeg Ballet, Hamilton Ballet Theater and the Princeton Ballet School as a scholarship student. Victor received his BFA in Dance from SUNY Purchase. He also studied pedagogy with distinguished authors John Barker, School of Classical Dance and John White, Teaching Classical Dance.

As a professional dancer, Victor toured internationally with the Caracas Ballet performing on stages around the world including Israel, China, Russia and Venezuela. He has also danced nationally with HT Chen and Dancers. His performance garnered critical acclaim from Richard Christiansen, the Chief Dance Critic of the Chicago Tribune, saying ā€Victor Bob Hom, is a Chen Dancer of speed, grace and elegant techniqueā€¦ā€. He was also invited to compete in the Dancing With the Stars National Tour.

Throughout the years, Victor has taught master classes at Arizona State University, Jacksonville University, Colombia College, Hunter College, Mercer County Community College, Temple University and his alma mater SUNY Purchase. Victor was USAG safety certified and has coached athletes in gymnastics and tumbling for several gyms including Central Jersey All Stars, Sunburst Gymnastics and Eastern Gymnastics.

Victor is excited to bring his experience and expertise to Project Dance and looks forward to working with our dancers as accomplishing lots of goals!

There’s something so special about hearing our dancers put their experience into their own words. šŸ¤

The greatest measure of a studio isn’t just the awards won — it’s the people our dancers become and where their journeys take them.

We’re so grateful to hear Olivia McCaffrey share how her years at Project Dance helped shape her confidence, artistry, and passion as she continues pursuing her dreams at Marymount Manhattan College.

These stories are exactly why we do what we do.

We’re cheering you on every step of the way, Liv. šŸ¤
