Another GREAT day for Franklin County Cross Country! ❤️🖤🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our girls brought home a 1st-place team finish, with an incredible SIX runners finishing in the Top 10! 🥇🔥
Led by a 2nd place finish by Addy Paul 💪

Our boys put together another strong race as well, finishing 4th overall!

The future of Franklin County Cross Country is looking pretty exciting. ❤️🖤

Our MS teams had a huge night at the Hoka Nights of Thunder race! Almost every one of our runners PR’d. Our MS girls came in 4th out of 15 teams and our MS boys came in 8th out of 19.
Unfortunately it was rained out before our HS runners could finish.

The Seahawk Cross Country Team had their 1st regular season race yesterday in Tallahassee at Dueling Summits! What a day! MS girls came in 5th overall!

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in an exciting partnership with the Franklin County School Track Team, is excited to announce our Second Annual 5K event, "Honoring The Brave"! Please save the date for Saturday, May 23, 2026, as we gather on Memorial Day Weekend in the beautiful town of Apalachicola.

This event is more than just a race; it's a heartfelt celebration of the courage and sacrifice of our heroes. With vibrant energy and a sense of community, this 5K promises to be a memorable way to honor Memorial Day as you run (or walk) through beautiful, historic, and picturesque Apalachicola, FL. Starting and ending the route along the Apalachicola River and Bay, each participant will cross the finish line proudly, receiving a finisher medal and a dry-fit "Honoring The Brave" race shirt to commemorate this meaningful achievement.
