🏀 UNITY BASKETBALL IS BACK THIS FALL! 🏀

We’re excited to share this FREE opportunity for students in grades 5–8! Unity Basketball brings local youth and community responders together for a fun, competitive night of basketball, plus pickup games, T-shirts, and pizza! 🍕🏀

The program runs for 4 Mondays from 6:00–8:00 PM, with two sessions right here in Easthampton at the Williston Gym:

📍 Sept. 14 – JFK Middle School
📍 Sept. 21 – Williston School
📍 Sept. 28 – JFK Middle School
📍 Oct. 5 – Williston School

We’re especially excited for the Williston sessions, where Easthampton Parks & Rec and EPD will be joining in the fun!

Registration for the 2026–2027 Easthampton Basketball Association season is LIVE!

Whether your player is picking up a basketball for the first time or ready for a more competitive experience, EBA offers a program designed to help them learn, grow, compete and have fun!

🏀 Jr. Eagles | Kindergarten
A fun, clinic-style introduction to basketball focused on fundamentals and getting comfortable with the game.

🏀 1st & 2nd Grade | 3v3 Developmental
An exciting 3v3 format designed to maximize touches, build skills and introduce game play against local competition.

🏀 Quabbin Valley League | Grades 3–8
Our recreational travel program focused on skill development, teamwork, community and equal playing time for all players.

🏀 Suburban Program | Grades 5–8
Our competitive travel program for experienced players ready for a higher level of competition and commitment. Tryouts are required, roster spots are limited and equal playing time is not guaranteed.

🏀 EBA PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: Suburban Basketball 🦅

For experienced players in Grades 5–8 looking for a more competitive basketball experience, EBA offers our Suburban Travel Program, with divisions for Boys & Girls in Grades 5/6 and Grades 7/8.

Suburban is a competitive program and comes with different expectations than our Recreational League. Families should understand these differences before registering:

🏀 Mandatory tryouts — roster spots are limited and cuts may be made based on skill level
🏀 Competitive games against teams throughout Western Massachusetts
🏀 Higher level of competition and a greater time commitment
🏀 Designed for experienced players ready for a more competitive environment
🏀 Equal playing time is NOT guaranteed, playing time may vary based on game situations, performance, effort, attendance and coaching decisions
🏀 A potential for late practice times from 7:30-9:30pm

Unlike our Recreational program, where every player receives equal playing time, Suburban is competitive basketball. Making a Suburban roster does not guarantee equal minutes or a set amount of playing time.

For families deciding between Rec and Suburban, we encourage you to consider your player’s experience level, goals and the type of basketball environment they’ll enjoy most.

For players in Grades 3–8, EBA’s Quabbin Valley League offers a recreational travel basketball experience focused on development, teamwork, basketball IQ, and having fun!

🏀 No cuts — evaluations are only used to create balanced teams
🏀 Games against teams from surrounding communities
🏀 Focus on developing skills & learning the game
🏀 Equal playing time for every player
🏀 A fun, supportive environment for a wide range of skill and experience levels

Players get the excitement of representing Easthampton and traveling to play other communities, while still being part of a recreational program where development and participation come first.

🏀 EBA PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: Next up, our 1st & 2nd Grade Developmental Division! 🦅

This introductory 3v3 program is all about getting kids involved in the action! With fewer players on the court, athletes get more touches on the ball, more opportunities to practice their skills, and more chances to be part of the game.

🏀 Open to 1st & 2nd grade players
🏀 3v3 developmental game format
🏀 Focus on fundamentals & skill development
🏀 Lots of touches and active game play
🏀 Games against other Easthampton teams, with the potential for crossover games with Southampton

It’s the perfect next step for our young Eagles as they continue learning the game and building confidence on the court! 🦅🏀

🏀 EBA PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT: First up, our youngest Eagles! 🦅

Junior Eagles is our co-ed Kindergarten basketball clinic, designed to introduce our youngest players to the game in a fun, welcoming environment.

🏀 Kindergarten boys & girls
🏀 8 one-hour sessions throughout the season
🏀 Fun drills focused on basic basketball fundamentals
🏀 A great first introduction to organized basketball

Every Junior Eagle receives an EBA T-shirt AND their own youth indoor/outdoor basketball to bring to clinics and keep after the season!

If your Kindergartener is ready to pick up a basketball and become an Eagle, this is where it starts! 🦅🏀
