✨ Eagle, Idaho — I’m coming your way! ✨

I’m excited to be offering a limited day of lessons during my visit to Sentosa Ranch!

For those who don’t know me, I’m Jessie, owner of JTC Horsemanship. I believe great horsemanship starts with connection. My training combines groundwork inspired by classical principles with in-hand and ridden work to develop correct movement, improve communication, and create willing, confident partners.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your foundation, work through tension or behavioral challenges, or simply deepen the partnership with your horse, I’d love to help.

Beckham – 8-Year-Old | 16.2 hh | OTTB Gelding

Riding/Obstacle video: https://youtu.be/ih7sCq4f2DM?feature=shared

Beckham is a handsome 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding with a striking chestnut coat, bold blaze, and the sweetest puppy-dog personality. He is kind, honest, and genuinely enjoys being around people. If you’re looking for a horse to enjoy both in and out of the saddle, Beckham is the type that quickly becomes your best friend.

Beckham is a quiet, enjoyable ride at the walk, trot, and canter. He enjoys trail riding, obstacle work, liberty, ground poles, and relaxed arena rides. He is a willing partner with a quiet mind who is happiest with a fun, low-pressure job.

Highlights
✨ No buck, bolt, or rear
✨ Excellent ground manners
✨ Quiet, kind, and easy to handle
✨ Enjoys trail riding and exploring new places
✨ Confident around obstacles and eager to try new things
✨ Sweet, personable “in-your-pocket” personality
✨ Stands well for the farrier
✨ Easy to deworm and vaccinate

Areas he’s still improving
✨ Trailer loading—loads well with a little patience
✨ Building confidence while tied; currently does well on a Tie Blocker with a hay net

Beckham is best suited for a lower-impact home where he can shine as a pleasure horse, trail partner, obstacle horse, 4-H/flag horse or all-around companion. Although Beckham hasn’t had experience with child riders, I can see him making a wonderful partner for a confident youth rider with experienced guidance. He is not being marketed for a demanding performance career but has so much to offer someone looking for a safe, enjoyable partner.

He is a thoughtful horse who is innately more woah than go. Beckham has traveled extensively, including out-of-state trips, and continues to gain confidence with hauling. He prefers hauling in a box stall, stock trailer, or with extra room in a divided trailer, and his future owner should be willing to continue supporting his progress in this area.

Beckham has been thoughtfully cared for, and his veterinary history and current management will be discussed openly with serious, qualified buyers.

This special gelding is looking for someone who values kindness, partnership, and enjoying the journey together. He has a wonderful brain, a heart of gold, and will make an incredible partner for the right person.

Finding the right home is Beckham’s owner’s highest priority. To help set his future owner up for success, Beckham will come with four complimentary horsemanship lessons if desired.

Selling on behalf of his owner. Serious inquiries only. Plenty of photos and videos available upon request.

For those who are new here, my name is Jessie Martindale, and before I tell you about myself, I’d like to introduce my horse. The trainer and horsewoman I am today wouldn’t exist without her. Her journey became my journey.

I bought my first horse in 2022. I didn’t grow up around horses. I took a few riding lessons as a kid and always loved them, but owning horses wasn’t something my family was able to pursue. I didn’t truly enter the horse world until 2020, when I was 20 years old.

My first horse was a four-year-old off-the-track Thoroughbred mare. Looking back, I had very little experience and almost no idea what I was getting myself into. To this day, she is still one of the most challenging horses I’ve ever worked with. She bucked, reared, charged, bit, and struck. There were many moments when I lost confidence and questioned whether I was capable of helping her.

Instead of giving up, I committed myself to learning everything I could. I immersed myself in horsemanship education, sought out mentorship, and spent countless hours developing my skills alongside my mare. Over time, I grew from horse owner to student, working student, intern, instructor, and eventually professional trainer.

Today, my mare and I trail ride ba****ck, ride bridleless, jump, practice dressage, and continue learning together every day. She has become a trusted partner and has even helped me teach students—something I never could have imagined when we first started.

That journey shaped my philosophy as a trainer. I have a special passion for working with the horses that others often find intimidating or difficult. Those horses have taught me patience, humility, resilience, and the importance of meeting each horse where they are instead of forcing them to fit a timeline.

More than anything, I believe my purpose is to build confidence: confidence in horses, confidence in riders, and confidence in the partnership between them. When horses feel understood and people feel empowered, lasting progress becomes possible.

That belief is the foundation of JTC Horsemanship. My goal is to help horses become softer, more responsive, and biomechanically correct while helping their owners develop the knowledge, confidence, and feel to create lasting partnerships. Every horse and every person has something to teach me, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue learning alongside both.

As my business grows, my vision is to create a place where people and horses can learn together in an environment that values patience, communication, and mutual trust. I want every client to leave not only with a better-trained horse, but with greater confidence in themselves and a stronger relationship with their horse.
