What part of our fist hits the target? In MMA, boxing, kickboxing and any other striking art we need to develop solid punch mechanics. Weight transfer and strong structure make a massive difference but what part of the fist lands on target will also change results drastically.
Aim Small, Miss Small Is a huge key, we need to focus on landing ring finger knuckle on a tiny target.
If you start doing some extra bare-handed heavy bag or pad rounds and make this a focus in your sparring and drilling, you will see huge results.

Would you believe they all love each other???
Sometimes a little chippiness gets the energy right where it needs to be. The right amount of spice makes for the perfect dish. Make no mistake that we are training for the toughest situations so it can't ALWAYS be sunshine & rainbows.
That said, Even more important than the chippiness is the willingness to come back together and support each other and lift each other up.
Make sure that each of our teammates faces their toughest battles in the training room so they never feel out of their depth anywhere else.

We fight alone but no one gets there alone. Coaches, training partners, sponsors, family & friends all play their part and make the journey worthwhile.
For those that achieve the highest levels of success, pay attention to how they move outside the cage. How they choose environments that hold the highest standards and end up surrounded by people that want the best for them and believe in their potential.
The team at Elevate is all moving in the same direction and that energy is apparent every day in the training room. Coaches and athletes are sacrificing for each other, and moments like this are the payoff.

MMA Cage Craft - How to free up your Underhook so you can get back to doing damage or progressing your position. Getting somebody pressed to the cage and achieving an underhook is a great place to be. New Coach Alert!
Starting TODAY Kahlil will be running Tues & Thur 430 No-Gi as well as Tues 545pm MMA. Kahlil went to Jordan High and has been with Elevate since 2021. Over and over he has proved his skill set in MMA, kickboxing, and grappling and even more than that he is always been an incredible teammate with a great mind for combat Sports. Really excited to see him start passing on even more of his knowledge to everyone.
