We definitely cheer for the Eagles, and PRO-ACT teams are cheering for everyone taking part in Save a Life Day today - look for them out in our communities as part of the country's largest free Narcan distribution day, including at our Southern Bucks Recovery Community Center in Bristol!

Whether you say "yinz" or "youse," cheer for the Steelers or the Eagles, saving lives is something every Pennsylvanian can get behind.

Last year, Pennsylvania distributed 10,700+ doses of naloxone on Save a Life Day, earning #3 in the nation.

Let's make a run for #1. On September 24, pick up free naloxone at a participating Save a Life Day location. Every dose distributed means another Pennsylvanian is prepared to respond to an overdose emergency.

Lights of Hope 2026 was an incredible evening - letting us remember those lost to overdose, honor those working to ensure not one more life is lost to overdose, and celebrating those in recovery. Grateful to Elmwood Park Zoo for hosting us and our Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services partners, our speakers including Matt, Gina, Caitlyn and Christyn! Back to school means new classes, new routines, and new opportunities—but some students return carrying challenges that aren’t always easy to see.

Pennsylvania’s Student Assistance Program helps schools identify mental health and substance use concerns and connect students and families with support—an important part of prevention.

Working alongside educators and school staff, trained liaisons from county drug and alcohol offices help make these connections possible.

In 2024–25, more than 17,000 screenings were conducted for substance use and/or mental health concerns—a 14% increase from the previous year. More than 72,000 parent discussions and meetings took place for students referred to the program—an increase of nearly 7%.

As students settle into the new school year, Student Assistance Program teams are there to recognize what students may be carrying and help connect them with the support they need.
