Times are tough. . . We aim to keep your favorite disc golf tournament as affordable as possible.

The entry fee for the 2027 Gulf Coast Charity Open Presented by will once again be only $91.

One of the main pillars of our orginization is creating a world class experience that everyone can afford. In a time where everything feels like its getting more expensive, we continue our commitment to affordability, quality, and value.

We believe that disc golf is about accessibility and fun. You should be able to recieve a world class experience, enjoy an incredible weekend with your friends, without breaking the bank.

At a time where $125 entry fees and 6 disc player packs are commonplace, we choose to stand out.

As an Am, your $91 entry will once again get you a player package valued well over $150 with a collection of high quality items to use on and off the course. For pros, you can continue to expect the same professional experience and $3,000 added cash.

We have many announcements and sweeping changes to our event to tell you about over the next few weeks.

Registration for the 2026 Gulf Coast Garage Sale Presented by Dynamic Discs opens THIS FRIDAY, AUGUST 28TH @ 8:00pm.

December 19th | 1 Day | 2 Rounds | AM Only B Tier | Picnic Island Park & Cypress Point Park

Unapologetically clearing our year end inventory. $35 gets you a $25 voucher to purchase anything leftover in our inventory from this year (Excluding our new hats). So includes GCCO Player Package items (sweaters, beach towels, picnic blankets, umbrellas, etc) and discs from our various events. All prices will be MARKED DOWN, so its a great deal!

Trophies will be metal garage sale signs.

Pool assignment dictates your course schedule, with pools moving between courses during lunch.

Registration for the 5th and final stop of the 2026 Gulf Coast Tour Challenge Presented by opens TONIGHT, July 3rd at 8:00pm est.

The event is SUNDAY, October 18th at Maximo Park and serves as our finale for the season long series.

This is your last chance to secure points for the series, as well as log another event in our pre registration qualifying for the 2027 Gulf Coast Charity Open.

Be on tonight at 8 to secure your preferred tee time.

Good Morning Players,

As promised we have made an official decision on the layout for next weekends event. Given the uncertainty of the construction ongoing holes 1 and 18, we are electing to remove those holes from the event and replace them with 2 temporary holes.

Holes 1 and 18 are removed. This means everyones starting hole will be hole 2, and everyones finishing hole will be hole 17.

2 Temp Holes Implemented

After the completion of normal hole 12 (green basket), players will proceed to the sidewalk to a marked tee throwing to hole 12s gold basket. This hole is 274 feet and will play as a par 3. Any shot in the water or on/beyond the road is OB. After finishing this hole, players will cross the street and walk down to the cross walk to cross back and play normal 13. Please do not cross the street if there are players teeing on 13. After playing 13, players will once again cross the street to the sidewalk. From there, they will play a 304 foot par 3 where again water and on/beyond road is OB. Once completed, players will cross the street one final time to play hole 14 as normal.

Both temporary pads are marked with orange paint and flags.

HATS ARE IN!

I've been wearing the samples at our past few events and now we are ready to sell them!

These are athletic dri fit hats that are very breathable. They will be on sale first this weekend at our 3rd stop of the Gulf Coast Tour Challenge at Taylor, then online the week following (link to come).

Gulf Coast Events & Promotions is the 501c(3) Non Profit Organization that owns and operates the Gulf Coast Charity Open and all of our other events.

As a non profit, we are required to submit financial reporting and taxes each year. While these records are accessible through public record requests, we are not required to publicly post and disclose that financial information independently.

However, transparency is one of the pillars of our organization, and one of the things that, in our opinion, separates us from other disc golf companies.

As such, we are electing to post our 2025 financial reporting. We are proud of the success of our organization, and want to share that sucsess with the individuals who help make that happen.

At the end of the day, even though we are a non profit, we are a business. We have expenses and liabilities that have to be managed just like any other business. Our goal is never to "make money", but rather ensure that we are covering our operating expenses, prioritizing player value, investing in the future of our orginization, and ensuring we are contributing back to our community.

This is underscored by the $0 Executive Director compensation that has been reported. Our staff has never, and will never, take compensation for the work that they do. We will always remain and orginization built on the back of volunteers so we can maximize the experience of our participants.

This past week, Executive Director and title sponsor () presented our full donation of proceeds produced at the 2026 Gulf Coast Charity Open.

During the meeting, we toured their facility and met some of the amazing people that help provide services to those in need in the Tampa area. Being able to see the value of the money we raise in person is such a special opportunity.

We then discussed some of the long term goals that Echo has with their leadership; its clear they have incredible direction and we can't wait to see then expand their operations to be able to help even more of the community in need.

What. A. Weekend.

This past weekend, a coalition of the willing completed a basket replacement and partial redesign of the Azalea Park Disc Golf Course in St. Petersburg, FL.

The course, originally installed back in 2011, has had the same baskets since its inception. After 16+ years of use and exposure to the harsh Central Florida elements, it was time for an upgrade.

The project was initiated by Brian Rosegger and Jason Zahara who brought it to us to see if we could work together to make it happen.

In short order, we involved the folks at
who helped set us up with 18 brand new baskets. Funding was provided by sponsors, The Azaliens, and of course, Gulf Coast Events & Promotions.

On Sunday, an army made short work of the replacement project; having all the old baskets and sleeves removed, new holes dug, baskets built and installed all in less than 4 hours.

The course now has 18 brand new baskets, 2 on each hole, with some interesting new pin locations.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in making this happen and making the Tampa are the best are for disc golf in Florida!
