Our CEO had the opportunity to attend the YMCA General Assembly in New Orleans last week, joining thousands of Y professionals and volunteers from across the country to celebrate 175 years of strengthening communities.
This year’s General Assembly focused on one of the biggest challenges facing communities today: social isolation and the need for genuine human connection.
That message feels especially meaningful here at home right now. During times when members of our community may be experiencing uncertainty, fear, or division, the YMCA’s mission to create belonging, connection, and community matters more than ever.
The Y is a place where people from all backgrounds can come together, build relationships, care for one another, and know they are part of something bigger.
