Happy birthday Don King. Without question one of Boxingโs all-time most controversial figures. But there is also no mistaking, he was a true trailblazer and arguably one of the greatest promoters in the sports history. Not many know, but when the KRONK stable was nearly depleted, it was King who contacted Emanuel and hired him to train several of his fighters; McCall, Chavez, Gonzales, Akinwande. King was even behind a Hearns late career come back as well. Emanuel and King always maintained a good relationship and Dan absolutely loved it when Emanuel would come to visit and barbecue his famous ribs. ๐บ๐ธ ๐ฅ
