Opinion | The best way toward a Social Security fix isn’t benefit cuts Social Security, aging, AI whistleblowers and more, in readers' eyes.
All September, we celebrate neighborhood senior centers - wrapping up with the Healthy Aging Expo the last Friday of the month at beautiful Palmer Park
Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Recreation and St. Patrick Senior Center present a month-long campaign to raise awareness for Detroit’s neighborhood senior centers. Providing services, activities, fun and friendship, these centers play essential roles in the lives of thousands of Detroiters. Since many services and activities are temporarily suspended – including the Strides Walk at Palmer Park – the 2020 campaign is happening online.

Detroit is moving together this weekend.
Four days. One city. And a whole lot more than a bike ride.
🔥 Thursday: We take over Roosevelt Park with music, vendors, family fun, community movement groups and a drone show over Detroit.
🗣️ Friday: Speak For Yourself brings Metro Detroit together at Huntington Place for real conversations about race and culture, multicultural food and community voices.
🚴🏾 Saturday + Sunday: We hit the streets for two days of cycling through Detroit.
Come for one event. Come for the whole weekend. Just don’t miss it.
