Meet our IHSA Iowa State Fair Senior Cowgirl Queen candidate, Kassi Speer!

Kassi and her American Saddlebred, Lismore’s Felix The Cat “Felix” will represent the Iowa Horse Shows Association on Friday during the Iowa State Fair Cowgirl Queen Contest.

She has been riding for 5 years and rides with Keith Equestrian Center in Ottumwa, IA. This will be Kassi’s second year competing in the Cowgirl Queen contest.

When asked what she’s most excited about, Kassi said “I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to represent the Iowa Horse Shows Association in such a special way at the Iowa State Fair. I look forward to meeting other contestants who share my passion for agriculture and the equine industry, learning from their experiences, and challenging myself to grow. This competition is a unique opportunity to develop as a rider and a leader while building lasting friendships and creating memories that I will carry with me long after the contest.”
