Which idea are you going to incorporate?

It can be hard AF to slow down if you are constantly going. Sometimes, that urgency in a weird way (or maybe it was just me), but it made me feel like I had more control in life.

Life was like “Stay on target” and the more I stayed on that target the more I thought I was winning.

But I wasn’t really. I was missing out on a lot of life. Anything in the peripheral was lost, the juiciness of the experience never had a chance to really develop.

Slowing down really helped me tap into the nectar of life.

Of course I had to do a f*ck ton of shadow work because that also meant giving space for all that had been suppressed.

And yeah, there was “blood, sweat, and tears.”

But there was also beauty. Pleasure. Curiosity. Connection. The unexpected.

The things I couldn’t see when I was so damn focused on getting to the next thing.

You don’t have to overhaul your life to start slowing down.

Choose one tiny place to interrupt the rush today.

Let your coffee brew without checking your phone.
Walk a little slower.
Look at the tree.
Take the long way around.
Pause before you answer.

Let yourself actually be where you are.

Which one are you going to try? Tell me in the comments.

Quick! Check your posture!

How is it?

Now compare that to how you feel.

Your body is constantly giving you information—through the way you sit, stand, hold your breath, and carry your shoulders.

In an alchemical sense, as within, so without—your outer posture often mirrors your inner state.

It’s worth noticing.

Because your posture is a physical expression of what you’ve been experiencing emotionally.

A long day of bracing, rushing, performing, worrying, or holding it all together can show up in the body long before you consciously register how you’re actually feeling.

Joy works the same way. We tend to be more upright, open, and elevated.

So become aware of your posture and try asking:

What am I noticing?
What have I been carrying?
What might my body be asking for right now?

Awareness comes before change.

And that awareness is the beginning of the practice.

If this resonated, I’d love to have you here—follow along for more somatic awareness and embodiment insights, and continue exploring the language of your body.

Your body is constantly giving you information—through the way you sit, stand, hold your breath, and carry your shoulders.

None of this necessarily means something is “wrong.” In an alchemical sense, as within, so without—your outer posture often mirrors your inner state.

A long day of bracing, rushing, performing, worrying, or holding it all together can show up in the body long before you consciously register how you’re actually feeling.

So instead of immediately trying to “fix” your posture, try asking:

What am I noticing?
What have I been carrying?
What might my body be asking for right now?

Awareness comes before change.

And sometimes that awareness is the practice.
