Secrest Park was busy yesterday. 🏈

We spent Labor Day morning at Secrest Recreation Center with Apex Park & Recreation District, running two flag football camps back to back — ages 7-10 first, then our 11-15 group.

Throws, catches, footwork, a quarterback challenge, and a whole lot of kids who had never played flag football before Monday. That last part is our favorite part.

Huge thanks to the Apex team for the facility and the partnership, and to every parent who traded a slow holiday morning for a field full of noise. Play Hard. Have Fun.

Basketball season is coming to Arvada 🏀

Registration is open for the Next Level Hoopers Skills Academy with Apex Park & Recreation District — eight Sundays of skill-building, October 25 through December 20 at 13150 W. 72nd Ave.

Grades 2-8, split into two sessions by age group so every kid gets coached at their own level. Ball handling, shooting, defense, and game IQ, taught the NAofA way: fundamentals first, fun always.

Sunday programs fill up early, and fall calendars are already getting crowded. Play Hard. Have Fun.

Monday, Sept 7 at Secrest Recreation Center, we're teaming up with Apex Park & Recreation District for a morning of throws, catches, and big smiles. Two sessions:

• Ages 7-10 (Grades 2-5) — 9:00-10:30 AM — $40
• Ages 11-15 (Grades 6-8) — 11:00 AM-1:00 PM — $45

No contact, no pressure. Just footwork, passing, a quarterback challenge, and coaches who make sure every kid leaves feeling like they belong. First-timers absolutely welcome. Play Hard. Have Fun.
