💙 Volunteer Spotlight: Shaun Cutting
Great organizations are built by great volunteers, and we're incredibly grateful for people like Shaun.
After watching his son, Max, get involved at Lucky Bikes, Shaun decided to jump in himself. Since then, he's become one of those volunteers who's always willing to lend a hand, whether that's helping in the shop, supporting our programs, or tackling whatever project needs to be done.
When asked what he enjoys most about volunteering, Shaun didn't talk about fixing bikes. He talked about the people.
"It's awesome. You've got a bunch of like-minded people that enjoy working on bikes and love helping people."
That's what makes Lucky Bikes special.
Thank you, Shaun, for sharing your time, your talents, and your heart with our community.
Want to join volunteers like Shaun? We'd love to have you. Every hour you give helps create new memories for the kids and families we serve. 💙

What starts with a volunteer shift can turn into something incredible. 💙
Several years ago, Max walked through the doors of Lucky Bikes looking for volunteer hours. He stayed because he found a community, discovered a passion for bicycle mechanics, and never stopped learning.
Today, Max is a part-time mechanic, an accomplished mountain biker, and this fall he’ll begin studying Mechanical Engineering at Colorado Mesa University.
Before heading off to college, he added one more achievement to an already impressive journey—winning the Hundito on a single-speed mountain bike. 🚵🏆
We’re incredibly proud of everything Max has accomplished, but what we’re most proud of is the person he’s become.
Stories like Max’s remind us that every bike, every volunteer hour, and every opportunity can create a lifetime of memories.
Congratulations, Max! We’ll be cheering you on in Grand Junction and can’t wait to have you back at Lucky Bikes on your school breaks. 💙
