Thank you Sharon Robinson Lynda Barclay Mathis and Roger Mathis for organizing this year's event!!!! Huge shout out to Roger Mathis for the following post: Civic duty shouldn't be this much fun! Rocky Mountain Triumph Club's annual Rod Tomkins Memorial Highway Clean Up 2026 where we clean up our portion of the Peak to Peak highway near Rollinsville, CO. There's a competition to tell the most outrageous story based on the rubbish you picked up and the winner gets to keep the two trophies till next year. This year we were fortunate to have Rod's granddaughters join us and they concocted the most amazing story and won the trophies! Good job ladies!!

Fun, colorful, Saturday story
The Rocky Mountain Triumph Club is pleased to announce our annual Peak to Peak Highway trash clean up event.
Our plucky group of auto enthusiasts is excited to share this annual experience of making one of Colorado's most scenic highways even more special. With several people participating, all driving up in restored Triumphs, this event is fun, colorful and a terrific human-interest story. Event organizer Sharon Robinson states "This is a perfect opportunity for the club to give back to the roads we so much love to drive." Our particular 2 mile stretch of highway is near Rollinsville. The event culminates with lunch and a plaque awarded to the trash picker who comes up with the most unusual piece of rubbish. We will be happy to make seats available in one of our Triumphs for any reporter who would like to ride along.

Usually there is not a huge amount to pick up. Join the fun by saving one found object and bringing it to lunch along with a funny &/or a farfetched story to go along with it. If your story gets the most votes, you will be able to take the plaque from Roger & Lynda, last year’s winners!!!!
After dropping the rubbish in Rollinsville a quick stop to take our scenic picture then on to lunch at the Canyon Tavern, a few miles down Coal Creek Canyon. They have great margaritas!
