Please welcome our new coaching additions for the 2027 Spring Varsity season!

Joey Horan will serve as the bench coach, and help with pitchers. He brings over 20 years of experience, most recently at his Alma mater, Dakota Ridge, as the Varsity Pitching Coach. He also coaches an 11u majors team. Joey brings a wealth of knowledge and will be a great fit at Chatfield!

Jay Lambert will serve as the Varsity Pitching Coach. He will also be working with pitchers across the whole program. Jay currently coaches an 18u team for One6 in the summer, and helps with pitching development on the training side. He previously helped coach at Denver North. Jay is a graduate of Arvada West, and pitched 4 years at Midland University. Jay will be a fantastic asset to our entire pitching staff across all levels at Chatfield!

Deven Gomez will serve as the Varsity OF/1B Coach. Deven is a graduate of Horizon HS, and also played 4 years of college between Porterville and Midland University. Deven currently coaches a One6 18u team in the summer. Deven will be a great asset to our Varsity team!

These 3 will join the current staff of Shane Horan and Jack McLaughlin, while Dawson Lang continues to do statistics and analytics.

Congratulations to Evan Novotny on his commitment to Hutchinson Community College! Evan is the epitome of what it takes to be a Chatfield Charger. His dedication, hard work, and commitment to his craft is the Standard he has set at Chatfield. We can’t wait to watch another 🐴 compete at the next level in 2028! Congrats Evan!

Please join us Monday, June 22 in the Chatfield Auditorium from 6-7pm to go over our fall baseball plans. This is for 2027,2028,2029,2030 grads. Football players that will not be playing baseball in the fall, do not need to attend. Go Chargers!

First-year head baseball coach Shane Horan guided Chargers to 1st state tourney win since 2015 - Colorado Preps Chatfield baseball makes longest postseason run since being the Class 5A state runner-up in 2015.
