Playing through took on a whole new meaning at Evergreen Golf Course the other day! ⛳️

A massive herd of around 50 elk completely took over the hole 5 fairway, making for an incredible sight you only get playing mountain golf in Colorado.

With the fall rut kicking off, a quick reminder to everyone on the course: these are wild animals and their behavior gets unpredictable this time of year. Always give them plenty of space—keep at least 35 yards (or about a full basketball court) between you and the herd. Admire them from a safe distance and let them have the right-of-way!

And your 2026 Senior Men’s Amateur Champion is Rob McLelland! 🏆👑

Rob put together remarkable consistency over two days, posting back-to-back rounds of 72 to finish at +2 gross (144) and claim the overall crown at Overland Park Golf Course! 🥇🔥

Shane Thomas staged a massive final-round comeback, firing a tournament-best 3-under 68 today to surge into solo second at +3, missing the top spot by just a single stroke. Day 1 leader Jim Siedlecki rounded out the top three at +4.

Here is how the top of the Championship Flight finished up:
