Rockies Rally Falls a Run Short in 7-6 Loss to Dodgers

Colorado lost 7-6 to the Dodgers on Tuesday night, a game that turned on a fourth inning in which Ryan Feltner spent without one of his best pitches, and the Rockies spent the next five innings nearly climbing out of it. Feltner allowed seven runs on eight hits over five innings, his second-highest total of the season. The changeup was excellent -- he generated nine whiffs on 15 swings -- but everything with spin on it betrayed him....

Colorado's bullpen threw four scoreless innings and the offense pulled within one in the ninth, but the Rockies lost 7-6 to Los Angeles for another one-run defeat.

Colorado announced a two-year, $16.25 million extension for Mickey Moniak on Tuesday afternoon, less than 24 hours after a deadline that sent Antonio Senzatela, Brenton Doyle, and Victor Vodnik out of the organization. The deal covers 2027 and 2028 -- his final year of arbitration and what would have been his first year of free agency....
