A lot of people assume pelvic floor work is only for postpartum women.
That’s ABSOLUTELY not true!
The PFilates workshop at Move Studios is for anyone dealing with:
• Chronic lower back pain that hasn’t resolved with traditional core strengthening
• Hip pain that keeps coming back
• Incontinence or leakage (even if you’ve “just accepted it”)
In this workshop, Lindsey Hanahan teaches you how to incorporate correct pelvic floor use into your everyday activities and fitness pursuits. This complete approach may provide more improvement in incontinence and chronic low back/hip pain than some more traditional approaches, or may provide a safe transition from a medical pelvic floor therapy situation back to your life pursuits like Pilates, Yoga, hiking, cycling and skiing.
Our next session starts September 15th. Spots are limited. Link in bio to register.

Your pelvic floor is part of your deep core system. When it’s not functioning well, the muscles around it, your lower back, your hips, your glutes, have to put in the extra work and compensate. That compensation is often what’s driving the pain.
Functional PFilates is an 7-week workshop that addresses this directly. It’s not a generic core class. It’s a 3-phase program built specifically to bring your pelvic floor back online and give your whole core system a foundation it can actually work from.
Next session starts September 15th. Only a few spots left. Link in bio to register!

Here’s the honest truth about starting Reformer Pilates at most studios: you’re often dropped into a class with people who’ve been doing it for years, handed a set of springs, and expected to figure it out.
First MOVEs is the opposite of that.
It’s a beginner-specific Reformer class where the pace, the cueing, and the entire session are built around someone who is brand new. You’ll leave actually understanding what you did and why with a solid foundation to build on for next class.
If you’ve been putting off trying Pilates because you didn’t know where to start, this is where you start. Link in bio for the schedule. We can’t wait to see you in class!

You’ve tried core work, physical therapy, stretched, strengthened, and rested and the back pain, the hip tightness, or the leakage STILL won’t go away.
There’s a good chance your pelvic floor is part of the picture. That’s where Functional PFilates comes in!

Something we’re really excited about is coming September 15th.
Functional PFilates is a 7-week workshop built around one of the most critical, and least understood, pieces of the core puzzle: the pelvic floor.
Based on the Pfilates protocol created by Dr. Bruce Crawford, a urogynecologist who calls his work “pelvic floor plyometrics,” Functional PFilates follows his 3-phase program designed to improve fast- and slow-twitch muscle fiber control as well as endurance in your pelvic floor. In addition, Lindsey Hanahan takes the big step of teaching you how to incorporate correct pelvic floor use into your everyday activities and fitness pursuits. This complete approach may provide more improvement in incontinence and chronic low back/hip pain than some more traditional approaches, or may provide a safe transition from a medical pelvic floor therapy situation back to your life pursuits like Pilates, Yoga, hiking, cycling and skiing.
This is a clinically informed, movement therapy approach to a problem a lot of people experience and very few address successfully.
Registration is open now. Comment HOPE and we’ll DM you the details.
