Make time to enjoy your life!
Life doesn't have to be all work just to pay the bills. I know that sometimes we hit rough spots (especially now with covid hitting people so hard), but all work and no play can make an already bad mental state that much worse.
Make time to take care of yourself physically AND mentally, and have some fun in the process.

Quit giving time to things you hate!
You and you alone are the keeper of your time and your schedule. It may not always feel like it, but I promise you it's true.
If the thought of doing a certain thing fills you with dread, makes you want to do literally anything else in the world, or is interrupting time you value more, stop doing it.
If it absolutely must get done, ask someone else to do it, or hire it out.
Your time is worth more than doing things that tear you up inside.

QUIT SAYING YES TO PEOPLE WHO AREN'T WORTH YOUR TIME.
Your time and how you spend it is something that only you truly have control over.
said it best in her book: Every time you say yes to someone else, you're saying no to yourself and your priorities.
You aren't here to serve everyone else unless you WANT to.
YOU deserve your time just as much as anyone else.

Rest in peace, Gatsby.
Last night, my bird passed away. Birds are very sensitive to respiratory issues and last night he fought a battle that he unfortunately didn't win. I'm not sure what happened to make him sick or if I could have prevented it and that makes me feel so unbelievably bad.
All I can hope is that I gave him a happy life, short as it was.
I already miss him so much.
Hug your pets. Snuggle your furry/feathery/whatever family members and make sure they know how much you love them.

Don't ASK people to respect you - act in such a way that they have NO CHOICE but to respect you.
Demanding respect is asking someone to give you respect, and that typically doesn't work.
Instead, COMMAND it. Be so amazing, powerful, and lit up that they HAVE to respect you.
Tag someone you know who is already a beast at commanding respect. I want to meet her! 🙌🏻

Do something today that brings you progress! 💖
Today I took my advance exam at work. I won't find out if I made it until December, and I never feel particularly good after my exams, but we'll see! If nothing else, at least I tried.
If you're reading this, I challenge you to do something today that can help you move forward.
What will you do?

Lately I've seen quite a few people shown in a negative light for being emotional or displaying feelings.
I'm not super sure what's up with that, but feelings and emotions are literally a part of life. Everyone has them and everyone displays them differently.
Next time you see someone displaying their emotions, don't make fun of them and don't shame them. Talk to them if you want, or leave them be if you'd rather cause them grief.
It's not hard to be good to each other. In fact, it often takes a lot less energy than being cruel. Be one of the good people in the world.
