If you didn't get the memo, we started our front parking lot revitalization project this week. For the next 3-4 weeks our temporary entrance will be to the Gardens floor on Raleigh Street.
At The Argyle, we believe in the connections of our staff and our residents.
Our staff goes above and beyond the standard duty of care by spending quality time with our residents as they engage in activities of daily living at our community.

π² A Picnic Day at Evergreen Lake! π²
There's nothing quite like fresh mountain air and a beautiful lake view! Our Argyle residents recently headed up to Evergreen Lake for a relaxing picnic outing β good food, great company, and gorgeous Colorado scenery all around. π§ΊβοΈ
A few cool facts about Evergreen Lake: ποΈ
π§ It's a man-made lake, created by damming Bear Creek back in the late 1920s.
βοΈ In the winter, it transforms into one of the largest Zamboni-maintained outdoor ice-skating rinks in the country!
ποΈ Sitting at around 7,000 feet elevation, it offers that classic crisp mountain-town feel β even in the middle of summer.
Nothing beats a picnic with a view like this! Check out these pics from our day at the lake. πΈπ

π¦ Root Beer Float Social! π₯€
The summer heat is on, and what better way to cool down than with a good old-fashioned root beer float? βοΈ
But at The Argyle, it's not just a drink β it's a reason to get together, laugh, and be social! π
A little scoop of history for you: π¨ Root beer floats were invented back in 1893 by Frank J. Wisner, a Colorado businessman who was inspired by a snow-capped mountain (Cow Mountain) to combine root beer with vanilla ice cream β creating what he called the "Black Cow"! π Fun fact: it's basically a Colorado original, so this treat is right in our backyard!
Sweet, fizzy, and full of nostalgia β root beer floats never go out of style. π

πͺ Staying Active & Having Fun at The Argyle! πͺ
Exercise is important for everyone, no matter your age! That's why our Activities Manager, Lindsey, leads group exercise classes a couple times a week here at The Argyle β and they're not only good for you, they're a whole lot of fun too! π
A few fun facts about exercise for seniors:
π§ Regular physical activity helps improve balance and coordination, reducing the risk of falls.
β€οΈ Even moderate exercise, like walking or chair yoga, supports heart health and can boost energy levels.
π Staying active has been shown to improve mood and support cognitive function, not just physical health.
π€ Group exercise adds a social boost too β moving together makes it more motivating (and more fun) than going it alone!
Check out these pics from one of our recent classes! πΈπ

π©πΊπΈ Celebrating 250 Years of the USA! πΊπΈπ©
This year is extra special β the whole country is celebrating 250 years of American independence, and The Argyle is celebrating right along with everyone else! π
Since the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th, 1776, America has been the birthplace of countless traditions we still hold dear today β and at The Argyle, we believe in National Pride every single day, not just on the 4th! β€οΈπ€π
Our residents got into the spirit in the best way possible β crafting their very own patriotic top hats! π©β¨ Take a look at their star-spangled creations β talk about red, white, and true craftsmanship!

ποΈ Travel with Tom: Washington, D.C. ποΈ
It's that time again β Travel with Tom is a beloved monthly tradition here at The Argyle, where our resident travel guide & historian leads an in-depth lecture on a different destination each month. This month's topic: our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.! πΊπΈ
Tom came prepared with a wealth of knowledge on D.C. β from its most iconic landmarks to fascinating historical details that aren't exactly common knowledge. π§ β¨ His lectures are always thorough, thoughtful, and full of surprises, even for those who think they know a place well.
As always, the audience was fully engaged, with questions and discussion flowing throughout. π You never know where the conversation might lead β but it's always fun and insightful. We went a little over time (again π), but honestly... who's keeping track?
Thank you, Tom, for another wonderful lecture β we can't wait for next month's destination! π

BREAKING (not really): The Argyle flag has been spotted... 1,600 miles from home? π©π½
Reports are coming in of two mystery climbers spotted atop a New York skyscraper this week, flying our colors like it's the moon landing. Sources say they got engaged mid-climb, got arrested shortly after, and somehow still had time to unfurl a flag with impeccable production value.
We have questions. Mainly: how did the flag look this good at that altitude? π
To be crystal clear β this is 100% a joke, nobody from The Argyle scaled anything, and we do not endorse rooftop proposals, guerrilla flag-planting, or any activity that ends in handcuffs. But we DO endorse a good laugh, so enjoy the most unhinged "brand placement" of the year. ποΈπ
Congrats to the happy (and now infamous) couple β may your first fight as an engaged couple be a much smaller one than "how do we get down from here."
