Colorado Cares for Safety is a new, non‑partisan, community‑driven nonprofit focused on making Colorado safer through non‑biased data and free, real‑world safety education. We’re building this work on ten years of honest Colorado violence data adopted from www.coviolence.org, so our efforts are grounded in truth, not fear or party politics.

Right now, we are raising startup funds specifically for fees and establishing the entity. Our initial $5,000 goal will cover the legal and administrative costs of forming the nonprofit, state and federal filings, required fees, and basic infrastructure so Colorado Cares for Safety can operate legitimately, accept grants, and serve communities statewide.

Once established, Colorado Cares for Safety will provide:

✔️Safe storage options for homes and vehicles
✔️Situational awareness, de‑escalation skills and conflict resolution
✔️Emergency medical training to save lives
✔️Child safety training with dummy guns for families
✔️Access to mental health resources and options
✔️Scholarships for low‑income Coloradans who can’t afford quality safety instruction for concealed handgun permit or permit to purchase

This first fundraising phase is about building the foundation—getting the nonprofit legally and structurally in place so we can start bringing these programs to Colorado communities without delay.

iHeartMedia Silences Denver’s Most Decorated Conservative Voice: Ryan Schuiling Laid Off in Corporate Bloodbath

Denver, Colorado — June 29, 2026

iHeartMedia has laid off Ryan Schuiling, the award-winning morning host of 630 KHOW & one of Denver’s most recognized voices in conservative talk radio, as part of a sweeping nationwide restructuring targeting $150 million in cost savings. The termination ended Schuiling’s seven-and-a-half-year run at iHeart Denver, the longest chapter of a broadcasting career spanning more than two decades.

He was not alone. The same corporate scythe swept through multiple Denver-area stations, claiming Bret Saunders of KBCO (28 years of service), Denise Plante of KWBL, and Gregg Stone of KRFX. Industry tracker Lance Venta of RadioInsight called it “the worst layoff round in radio history.” iHeartMedia called it a business decision. Denver’s conservative community calls it a betrayal.

Ryan Schuiling Live was the 2025 Colorado Broadcasters Association award winner for Best Radio Talk Show, the gold standard in Colorado talk radio. Ryan anchored special election coverage for both KOA 850 AM & 630 KHOW. Our “2A Tuesday” segment brought national & local 2A leaders directly to Denver’s airwaves, including Kostas Moros of the Second Amendment Foundation, John Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center, alongside Colorado fi****ms businesses, gun shop owners, & grassroots advocates.

Ryan Schuiling is not only a changemaker in Colorado media, he is a dear friend & colleague whom I stand with completely. I have absolute confidence and respect for him, and I am honored to have been a part of Ryan Schuiling Live. Seeing Ryan’s mission of bringing informed, authentic conservative voices to Colorado is a top priority for me, and that does not change today.

Ryan gave a microphone to the 2nd Amendment community in Denver when corporate media would rather pretend we don’t exist. iHeartMedia just made very clear that our voices are expendable to them. They are not. I am currently in discussions with numerous media outlets & organizations, & intend to channel this energy into something exponentially more powerful & impactful than what came before.

Corporate media can eliminate a show. It cannot eliminate a mission.

This is not a cost-saving measure. I’s a pattern. The coordinated replacement of locally rooted, truth-telling voices with homogenized, agenda-driven syndicated content confirms what many of us have long believed: our mission to educate and inform Colorado was more successful than we realized, and it posed a genuine threat to the controlled media landscape working to suppress authentic, independent voices in this state. I recognize it for what it is.

We will not go easily into the shadows. The voice of freedom will not be silenced. We will rise up stronger, louder, and more impactful than ever before.

To every listener who sat with us on Tuesday mornings and felt seen and heard — the best is yet to come. We are just getting started.
