There are few names in squash as legendary as Hashim Khan's and his impact can still be felt every day at The Denver Athletic Club.
From humble beginnings as a ball boy in Pakistan to becoming a seven-time British Open Champion, Hashim changed the sport forever. His family's dominance spanned generations and helped establish one of the greatest dynasties in squash history.
In 1973, Denver became his home. For more than two decades, Hashim served as Head Squash Pro at The DAC, where he inspired countless Members with not only his incredible talent but also his humility, generosity and love for the game.
His legacy lives on throughout the Club. The Hashim Khan Trophy Room, our exhibition court bearing his name and the annual Hashim Khan Tournament all serve as reminders of the standard of excellence he represented.
Beyond his championships, Hashim believed in growing the game and giving young players opportunities to succeed, a mission that continues today through the Hashim Khan Foundation.
Whether you've played on Court 3, competed in the tournament or simply walked past the Trophy Room, you've experienced a piece of squash history.
We're proud to celebrate the life and lasting legacy of Hashim Khan, a champion whose influence continues to shape The DAC and the sport he loved.
Some days, showing up is the hardest part.
That’s why The DAC is here. A place to move, reset, find your routine and keep going, even on the days when motivation is nowhere to be found.
Whatever showing up looks like for you today, we’ll see you at The DAC.
