Rider Down
Sorry folks, but I took a bad tumble today and won't be able to join you for the pop-up ride or host our pre-ride meeting.
I ended up with a thumb full of stitches, and both of my hips and one shoulder are likely to be too sore to move more than absolutely necessary over the next few days. I hit the ground so hard they prescribed me pain pills that required triple verification from the pharmacist! I promise I will share the full story soon, even though it is completely embarrassing.
The ride is absolutely still on! Since I won't be at the start line to answer questions, please keep a few key details in mind:
Self-Navigated: Please ensure you have the route downloaded to your GPS device or smartphone before you head to the start.
Self-Supported: Bring all the hydration, nutrition, and flat-repair tools you anticipate needing.
Ride Your Own Pace: There is no designated group leader or sweeper. Feel free to group up with others or roll at whatever speed suits you best.
If you have any last-minute questions about the route, just reply to this message and I will gladly answer them from the comfort of my couch!
I was really looking forward to this ride and I'm truly sorry to miss it. Please still go out, have a wonderful time, be safe—and be super vigilant for posts inappropriately placed in the middle of a bike path.
Best,
K

Hell of the North Texas Routes Now Available!
Long Route Shortened By 15 Miles
We verified the Hell of the North Texas Routes yesterday. A primary road on the east end has been deemed unrideable for this event. We have adjusted the route for safety purposes which now means the long route is 110 miles and will not go into Clarksville. Final routes are now available to registered riders from the signup page. https://www.bikesignup.com/Race/TX/Paris/2026HellOfTheNorthTexas
We are putting together the pieces for a mostly gravel pop up ride on Sunday morning. We expect to have details/signup available tonight (Thursday) or early Friday morning at the latest. Planned short route around 35 miles and now we're checking on a viable longer route. Stay tuned!
