What better way to practice social skills than by making something for a friend? 🥰 Making friendship bracelets gave our clients opportunities to practice fine motor skills, following directions, making choices, taking turns, patience, and social interaction, all while creating something fun!

A little creativity + a little friendship = a great learning opportunity! ✨

🤝 The Importance of Peer Interaction in ABA

Learning doesn’t only happen one-on-one! Opportunities to interact with peers help children practice important skills in a natural and meaningful way.

Activities like these give learners opportunities to practice sharing, taking turns, communicating, listening, cooperating, problem-solving, and working toward a common goal. 🎨🗣️

These everyday interactions help build skills that children can carry with them beyond the clinic and into school, friendships, and their communities!! 🌎✨

Sometimes, learning together is the best way to learn! 💚

Today, we’re using preferred toys in new ways to encourage creative play, fine motor skills, problem-solving, communication, and expanding play skills, all while having fun!

Sometimes the best learning happens when we start with something they already love!

💦☀️ Field & Water Day at Canopy Bonifay! ☀️💦

We had so much fun getting outside and enjoying some water games with our friends! Along the way, we practiced following directions, taking turns, cheering each other on, showing good sportsmanship, and learning how to handle both wins and losses. 💚

Learning is always more fun when we’re having a good time!

As our 10th anniversary month comes to a close, we're taking one more look back at some of the moments and memories that have made Canopy what it is today! 💙
