I think I’ve been a trailblazer all along.
Years ago, I wrote “Trailblazer, Inc.” in my journal. I don’t remember exactly why. I only remember the feeling/a deep knowing that the word would become significant someday. Ideas sometimes arrive for me before their meaning does. I write them down, let them rest, and trust that clarity will come when the timing is right.
Recently, it did.
Twenty-six years ago, my senior class chose this motto:
“Do not follow where the path may lead. Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” It became one of my favorite quotes.
And as I look back across my life and career, I understand why....
My freshman year, I played on the first volleyball team my high school ever had.
During my senior year of college, I became the first intern hired by the City of Gatlinburg. After graduation, the city created a new public relations coordinator position for me.
Later came newly created positions, startups, small agencies, an entertainment complex, fitness companies, wellness facilities, and an early-stage tourism app. I built programs, classes, workshops, photography businesses, publications, coaching offers, and homeschool experiences.
The industries changed, but the thread remained.
I kept finding myself at the beginning of something.... somewhere without a finished blueprint, where an idea needed language, structure, and a path forward.
Then I remembered a detail that made me laugh out loud. While working for the City of Gatlinburg, I created and designed its quarterly newsletter. The name I chose? The Trailblazer.
Apparently, I have been leaving myself breadcrumbs for a very long time... funny how life works.
And I finally understand where they were leading.
I am officially introducing:
Trailblazer Creative House
Trailblazer Creative House brings together the worlds I have spent more than 20 years working within: marketing, communication, storytelling, branding, photography, design, writing, creative direction, teaching, coaching, and mind-body work.
At the center of it is something I have always done naturally.
I listen for the story underneath what someone is saying. I notice where the pieces have stopped connecting. I often hear the casually mentioned idea that contains the heartbeat of the entire thing.
This work/offering is for entrepreneurs, creatives, and small-business owners who know something meaningful is trying to emerge through their work but cannot yet see its clearest shape.
Maybe your business has evolved beyond its original identity.
Perhaps your offers feel disconnected from the larger vision.
You might know change is needed without knowing what should come next.
More content or another generic formula or automated ai text or image will not solve a clarity problem. They may work temporarily but trust me when I say, save the time spinning your wheels and Let's work through it together.
The first step inside Trailblazer Creative House is The Trailhead Session: a one-on-one clarity experience designed to uncover the deeper story, refine the language, reconnect the pieces, and identify the next intentional step.
From that foundation, we can shape clearer positioning, meaningful offers, audience direction, content pillars, and practical waypoints for moving forward.
Anyone can hand you a blueprint.
My work is helping you recognize the trail that is distinctly yours and giving it enough structure to become real.
Everything is marketing and marketing is everything, but you need to define the story, the brand and create a strategy. That’s where I come in.
If you recognize yourself in these words, send me a message or comment below. I would love to hear what you are building.
Your trail may already be there. Sometimes you simply need another set of eyes to help you see it.
Let's do this 🙂
