Tonight reminded me of something I’ll never forget.

Sometimes the people smiling at your table are the same people testing your spirit.

Whether it was jealousy, insecurity, or something I’ll never fully understand… it taught me one thing:

Not everyone celebrating with you is celebrating you.

I’ve learned to stop asking, “Why me?”

Now I ask, “What is this here to teach me?”

My peace is expensive.
My circle is intentional.
My discernment is no longer negotiable.

If my light makes someone uncomfortable, that’s not my assignment to fix.

I’ll keep shining anyway.

Progress is not built in comfort.

It is built in the moments nobody claps for.
The nights you cry, wipe your face, and keep going.
The rooms where you feel overlooked, but still show up prepared.
The seasons where God stretches you so much you start wondering if you’re breaking.

But you’re not breaking.

You’re being built.

Comfort will keep you familiar.
Pressure will reveal your power.
Purpose will make you uncomfortable before it makes you unstoppable.

So no, I’m not chasing easy anymore.
I’m not begging for rooms that can’t hold me.
I’m not shrinking to make people comfortable with the version of me they thought they knew.

I’m growing.
I’m healing.
I’m becoming.

And this version of me?
She was not built in comfort.

She was built in pressure.
She was built in pain.
She was built in prayer.
She was built on purpose.

Pressure. Power. Purpose.
That’s the assignment.
