🕊️ IN LOVING MEMORY OF QADIR LYLE 🕊️

Some people leave behind statistics. Some leave behind accomplishments. Qadir Lyle leaves behind an impact that reaches far beyond either.

Qadir was an exceptional athlete talented, competitive, hardworking, and capable of doing special things every time he stepped onto the field. But those who had the privilege of knowing him know that football was only a small part of what made Qadir special.

Today, our hearts are heavy because we aren’t simply mourning a great athlete. We’re mourning a great student, teammate, friend, son, classmate, and young man whose life meant so much to so many.

There are no words that can fully capture a loss like this. We simply ask our entire Black Bear family and the Decatur community to surround Qadir’s family, friends, teammates, classmates, teachers, and coaches with love and prayer during this incredibly difficult time.

Qadir, you wore AUSTIN across your chest, and you will forever be a part of this family.

Your name, your smile, your accomplishments, and the lives you touched will never be forgotten.

A huge thank you to Coastal Alabama South and Coach Gino for taking the time to come out and invest in our guys!

We appreciate you not only coming to evaluate our players, but also putting them through an intense, high-energy, college-level workout that challenged them physically and mentally. Opportunities like this give our guys a firsthand look at the pace, intensity, discipline, and effort required at the next level.
