Our next Alumnj Spotlight features Dr. Julia Mautner 👩‍⚕️. A former player and volunteer coach!

Hometown: Munich, Germany

Major at ERAU: Aerospace Physiology, Minor in Psychology

Highlight at ERAU: Graduating from ERAU while competing in Division II tennis, earning my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, and beginning my career as a chiropractor in Munich.

Favorite Memory while at ERAU: The lifelong friendships, traveling with the team, and competing alongside such a supportive group of teammates.

Any advice for a future Eagle Tennis Recruit:
“Enjoy every moment, trust the process, and make the most of the opportunities both on and off the court.”

Checking in on the Eagles this summer and boy have they been busy! From visiting each other in Spain 🇪🇸 and Germany 🇩🇪, playing tournaments, completing commercial pilot licenses, vacations in the Bahamas, and even training with Heisman Trophy winners like Tim Tebow! We also had others traveling to watch Wimbledon, graduations, and just being home with family and friends. We are glad the Eagles are enjoying their summer but are ready for them to come back next month!

Hometown: Madrid, Spain

Major at ERAU: Aerospace Engineering

Best Personal Accomplishment: Graduating this past Wednesday with my second Master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Banking & Investment! And I also have moved to the UK to work on the Eurofighter program. I’m incredibly grateful that tennis and my education at ERAU opened those doors for me.

Favorite Memory at ERAU: My very last senior season as a whole. We achieved so many program firsts, but winning our first NCAA Regional match against Tampa was unforgettable. In that moment, I felt like I was on cloud nine. We were all completely in sync, feeding off each other’s energy, fighting for every ball and leaving absolutely everything on the court. You could see how badly every one of us wanted it. I still get goosebumps thinking about it, and I can remember every single scream from that day like it was yesterday. Making history with that group of teammates is something I’ll never forget.

Advice for a Future Eagle Tennis Recruit: Enjoy every moment because time goes by faster than you think. Play every match like it’s your last, compete with passion and fire, and give everything you have. Trust the process, embrace the tough days, and never take this opportunity for granted. The memories and friendships you build here will stay with you for the rest of your life.

She is a cornerstone of our program leading on the court, in the community, and in the classroom, helping the Eagles to one of the most successful seasons in program history!!
