Founded in 1995, the UD Club Waterski Team Competes in 3-Event Collegiate Tournaments

The UD Club Waterski Team is an organization that practices and competes in the fall and spring season in the Midwest conference. We are dedicated to developing the skills of water skiers and wake boarders at any level and want to share our love for the sport and encourage people to improve their waterski skills. COMPETITIONS
Each season our team competes in 3-4 tournaments in the Ohio and Michigan region during the Fall, and we host our own tournament in the Spring right here in Dayton. Our Team competes in a three event style tournament, including slalom course, trick, and jump. Our team practices on Sunsite lake (about 5 minutes from campus) on a variable schedule based on the daily availability of skiers. Was another rainy weekend out in Van Wert but still an absolute blast! We had a great time, big thanks to pleasant shores as always! Can’t wait to get back out and keep competing!

Last but not least for Senior Spotlight is: Alex Walker!

Alex has been such a steady and positive presence on the team over the past three years. He’s always been willing to help out, support teammates, and bring good energy to practices and tournament weekends, no matter the conditions.

After graduation, Alex will be working in Controls Engineering for Trew LLC in Cincinnati.

A fun fact about Alex is that his family owns an ice cream shop 😋🍦
We’re so grateful for everything Alex has brought to UD Waterski and are excited to see where he goes next ❤️💙

Next up for Senior Spotlight is: Maddie Noone!

Maddie has been an awesome addition to the team this season and brought a great attitude and willingness to jump in and learn from day one.

After graduation, Maddie will be working in Chicago at Ernst & Young.

We’ve loved having Maddie on the team and are excited to see what she does next ❤️💙

Next up for Senior Spotlight is: Lily Votta!

Lily has been such a fun and positive part of the team over the past four years. She was always someone who made practices and tournaments more memorable, and her energy around the team will definitely be missed. Lily also served on exec as our Risk Manager and was an important part of helping keep the team running smoothly.

After graduation, Lily will be working as an Interactive Zookeeper at the Elmwood Park Zoo!

Lily’s advice to new team members is to talk to everyone you can and just be present because you never know what will happen or who will become your new best friend.

We’re so grateful for everything Lily brought to UD Waterski and can’t wait to see what’s next for her ❤️💙

Next up for Senior Spotlight is: Kevin Weber!

Kevin has been an awesome part of the team and always brought great energy out on the water. As one of our jump skiers, he was always down to send it and make every practice and tournament super fun.

After graduation, Kevin will be heading back to Pittsburgh to work as a Sales Engineer for Siemens.

We’re grateful for everything Kevin brought to UD Waterski and are excited to see what’s next for him. We’ll miss having him at every tournament ❤️💙

Springfest 2026!!!

We had such a great time in Tennessee last weekend, thank you for putting together an epic weekend for our skiers!

To our seniors, we hope you enjoyed your last official UD Waterski Tournament. We will miss you tremendously as well as the excitement and experience you brought to our team. We love you!! 🥺

So looking forward to getting back out on the water in the fall🏄‍♀️🌊
