Andrew Simones — First Team All-DCBL Pitcher
A former position player at Sinclair Community College, Andrew Simones reinvented himself on the mound and put together one of the most dominant pitching seasons in the DCBL in 2026. Simones earns First Team All-DCBL honors after going 11–1 with a 1.92 ERA across 70 innings.
Among the DCBL’s qualifying pitchers, Simones finished first in wins (11), innings pitched (70), strikeouts (93), complete games (5), and the league’s pitching formula (212). He also tossed a shutout, held opposing hitters to a .215 batting average, posted a 1.14 WHIP, and recorded a 4.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
Simones set the tone for his Cy Young-caliber season almost immediately. On April 12 against the Dodgers, he threw a complete game, allowing just five hits and one unearned run while striking out 14 in a 12–1 Wolves victory. The outing was an early glimpse of the durability and swing-and-miss ability that would eventually help him lead the league in wins, innings and strikeouts.
Perhaps most impressive is the path Simones took to become one of the league’s premier arms. After playing collegiately as a position player at Sinclair, he developed into a true workhorse on the mound, taking the ball for 10 starts and completing half of them.
With the league lead in wins, innings, strikeouts and complete games, Simones compiled one of the most complete pitching résumés of the 2026 season. His combination of durability, swing-and-miss ability and consistent run prevention makes him a clear front-runner for the DCBL Cy Young Award.
Jeff Sanders — First Team All-DCBL Pitcher
A former University of Dayton pitcher who also played independent professional baseball, Jeff Sanders brought one of the most accomplished résumés in the league into 2026 and backed it up with another outstanding season. A former Cy Young Award winner, Cincinnati Adult Baseball League Hall of Famer, and state championship coach at Fort Loramie High School, Sanders earns First Team All-DCBL honors.
Sanders was dominant across seven appearances and six starts, finishing a perfect 6–0 with a 1.22 ERA and 0.95 WHIP across 37 innings. He allowed just five earned runs all season, surrendered no home runs, and struck out 42 hitters against only five walks, producing an outstanding 8.4 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Opponents managed just a .214 batting average against him.
Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Sanders finished with the second-best WHIP (0.95) and second-best ERA (1.22). His 3.4% walk rate was the lowest among the league’s top qualifying arms, while his 28.8% strikeout rate demonstrated that hitters weren’t simply putting the ball in play against him either.
Sanders was at his best on June 21 against the Angels, firing a seven-inning complete-game shutout while allowing six hits, issuing no walks and striking out eight. It was one of three complete games and three shutouts he recorded in only six starts during the season.
With experience spanning Division I college baseball, independent professional baseball, Hall of Fame recognition, a previous Cy Young Award and state championship-level coaching, Sanders showed in 2026 that he remains one of the league’s premier pitchers, even at 55 years old. His undefeated record, elite command and dominant run prevention earned him First Team All-DCBL recognition.
Jeff Beall — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher
A Hall of Famer, former NCAA Division II pitcher at Urbana University, and one of the most accomplished amateur pitchers in the Dayton-area baseball scene, Jeff Beall added another dominant season to his résumé in 2026, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors.
Beall was nearly untouchable across six appearances and three starts, finishing 2–0 with two saves, a 0.82 ERA and a 0.82 WHIP across 22 innings. He allowed just 16 hits and two earned runs, did not surrender a home run, and struck out an incredible 44 hitters while issuing only two walks.
Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Beall finished first in ERA (0.82), first in WHIP (0.82), first in strikeout percentage (53.0%), first in strikeout-to-walk ratio (22.0), and posted the lowest walk rate (2.4%). His 44 strikeouts in only 22 innings worked out to 18.0 strikeouts per nine innings.
Beall’s most dominant outing came on June 28 against the Scouts, when he fired a complete-game shutout, allowing just two hits and one walk while striking out 14 in an 8–0 Wolves victory. Opposing hitters managed just a .087 batting average against him in the game, while Beall needed only 96 pitches to finish seven innings.
Already established as a Hall of Fame arm with an accomplished collegiate and amateur résumé, Beall showed in 2026 that he remains one of the area’s premier pitchers. His elite command, overwhelming swing-and-miss ability and continued dominance earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition.
Javin Zoolkoski — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher
A former Hardin-Simmons Cowboy, 6-foot-6 left-hander Javin Zoolkoski made an immediate impact in his rookie season in the DCBL, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors in his first year in the league.
Zoolkoski appeared in 12 games with three starts, finishing 3–1 with one save and a 2.23 ERA across 32.1 innings. He allowed just 25 hits and eight earned runs, holding opposing hitters to a .200 batting average while posting a 1.30 WHIP.
Among qualifying pitchers, Zoolkoski posted the fourth-highest strikeout percentage (36.3%) and finished fifth in strikeouts (53). His 53 punchouts in only 32.1 innings worked out to an impressive 14.8 strikeouts per nine innings, immediately establishing the big left-hander as one of the league’s premier swing-and-miss arms.
His most dominant outing came on June 21 against the Dodgers, when Zoolkoski tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out 13 in a 10–0 Rangers victory. The performance accounted for nearly a quarter of his season strikeout total and showcased just how overpowering the 6-foot-6 lefty could be when he was at his best.
With his combination of size, power stuff and the ability to contribute both as a starter and out of the bullpen, Zoolkoski quickly became one of the DCBL’s most impactful newcomers. His first-year performance not only earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition, but also firmly places him among the league’s Rookie of the Year candidates.
Casey Lippincott — Second Team All-DCBL Pitcher
A current pitcher at Ohio Northern University, Casey Lippincott put together one of the league’s strongest seasons on the mound, earning Second Team All-DCBL honors in 2026. Lippincott appeared in eight games with four starts, finishing an impressive 7–1 with a 1.99 ERA across 40.2 innings.
Among qualifying DCBL pitchers, Lippincott finished fourth in WHIP (1.11) and seventh in ERA (1.99), while holding opposing hitters to a .196 batting average. He allowed just 30 hits and nine earned runs all season while striking out 41 hitters. Lippincott also brought plenty of velocity to the mound, running his fastball up to 87 mph
Perhaps no outing better demonstrated his impact than July 8 against the previously undefeated Dayton Wolves. Facing the league’s last remaining unbeaten team, Lippincott threw 6⅔ innings, allowing just two hits and no earned runs while striking out five, helping the Rangers hand the Wolves their first loss of the season in a 4–2 victory.
Lippincott’s combination of run prevention, command, velocity and an ability to deliver against elite competition established him as one of the DCBL’s most dependable arms and earned him Second Team All-DCBL recognition.
