🌊 This week we're featuring the Dalton High School Pool! 🌊 The pool is a 6 lane, 25 yard pool with a 1 meter Diving Board. Established in 1974, it was only the 2nd public school pool built in Georgia at the time. 😮 The pool has been home to 4 GHSA State Championship Swimming and Diving teams! The pool is currently used by 5 high school teams, including Dalton High, 2 middle school teams, a club team and a summer swim program. Additionally, an Aquatics class is offered each semester for Dalton High students, swim lessons are taught during the summer and local fire departments utilize the pool for training purposes each year. The facility is open and used 6 days a week for 50 weeks a year - that's a lot of swimmers! 🏊The history of our pool is fascinating! Do you have any fun facts about the Dalton High Pool?
