Good luck to senior Sofia DeVacca and junior Romi Temengil who are headed off Fargo North Dakota to wrestle at in the biggest tournament of the year. Fargo! They both competed and earned their spot by placing at our state tournament to represent team Texas and will compete against the rest of the nations best. You have put in the work and your time to shine is now. Please wish these ladies good luck and wrestle hard! We are all rooting for you! You got this! Go cats!

Great trip up to Stillwater America to workout and wrestle together as team linking up with Westwood Wrestling to scrap with some great teams from Oklahoma, Florida, California and Louisiana. Thanks to OSU Cowboy Wrestling, coaches, and college guys who taught and talked with the athletes sharing an incredible camp experience for all the wrestlers in attendance. Go Cowboys!

We proudly congratulate Hall of Fame LHHS Head Wrestling Coach Pete Grieder on receiving the 2026 LHHS Distinguished Service Award.

For 32 years, Coach Grieder served as Head Wrestling Coach while also teaching Geometry at LHHS. During his tenure, he earned over 400 dual meet victories, 24 district championships, and 6 regional championships.

He developed 159 state qualifiers, 48 state placers, and 3 individual state champions. Coach Grieder is a true legend whose impact will be felt for generations.

If you were in the wrestling room with Coach Grieder, you felt his impact every day!
