We are thrilled to welcome Olivier Pardina back to Dallas Ballet Center for the next two weeks to work with our dancers on technique and variations! Mr. Pardina will teach select classes while here as well. Have you signed up for your privates?!

Mr. Pardina is a distinguished ballet coach, including coaching two Prix de Lausanne winners and coaching the first ever Grand Prix winner of the YAGP finals in NY.

He served as principal teacher for the trainee program at Miami City Ballet, is a former Artistic Director of the Nice Opera Ballet in France, and taught at the HARID Conservatory.

Mr. Pardina’s professional dance career includes International Principal dancer, and he replaced Rudolph Nureyev at the Covent Garden in London.

Mr. Pardina comes to Dallas Ballet Center 4-6 times a year to work with our dancers!

Owners and Artistic Directors Judy and Brent Klopfenstein will go over everything your dancer needs to know to thrive at all ages and skill levels.

Dancers will have the opportunity to meet each other as well as some of our esteemed faculty, and may even meet some members of the Dallas Ballet Company !

Attention dancers- Silas Farley will be teaching class tomorrow, Monday, 7/20, and next Wednesday, 7/29, from 5-6:30pm! This is your sign to get back in the studio!!!

Silas Farley currently serves as Armstrong Artist in Residence in Ballet in the Meadows School of the Arts at Southern Methodist University (SMU). He is a former dancer with New York City Ballet and former Dean of the Trudl Zipper Dance Institute at The Colburn School in Los Angeles, CA.

Farley began his training in Charlotte, NC and completed his ballet training at the School of American Ballet.

He joined New York City Ballet in 2012 and danced with the Company until 2020. There he performed principal roles in the works of George Balanchine and Christopher Wheeldon and originated roles in ballets by Wheeldon, Lauren Lovette and Justin Peck.

Farley has taught nationally and internationally, including for the School of American Ballet, New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, Houston Ballet, Slovak National Ballet, Colburn School, Peabody Conservatory, Hartt School, Chautauqua School of Dance, Duke Ellington School of the Arts, University of Southern California Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and the Kennedy Center.

He has choreographed for the School of American Ballet, The School at Jacob’s Pillow, the New York Choreographic Institute, Columbia Ballet Collaborative at Columbia University, Works & Process at The Guggenheim, Houston Ballet, The Washington Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet. Farley’s choreography has been presented at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Jacob’s Pillow, The Guggenheim, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in Los Angeles, CA, and Teatro Nacional de Cuba in Havana.

July faculty announcement!! Sofia Bidne, DBC alum and Pacific Northwest Ballet Corps de Ballet member, is guest teaching at DBC this month! Register now!

Ms. Bidne will be teaching at our Half Day Ballet Intensive July 27-31, 1-5pm.

This is a technique-focused half-day workshop designed to challenge experienced ballet dancers ages 10-13 with one year or less of pointe experience (including pre-pointe students). Previous ballet training required. DBC Levels IIB-III.

She will also be teaching at our evening technique classes July 20, 22, 27, and 29.

Sofia Bidne trained at The Dallas Ballet Center and the Professional Division of Pacific Northwest Ballet School. Sofia has attended summer programs at School of American Ballet, Ballet West, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and European School of Ballet.

Since graduating from The Dallas Ballet Center, she has returned to teach at their summer intensives and lead occasional master classes. Last summer, Sofia spent time at Jacob’s Pillow, where she worked with choreographers Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Durante Verzola while collaborating with artists from across the country.
