SHOUT OUT TO THE WORST BOSSES EVER! 📣📣📣

Everyone likes to think about their best boss and the difference he/she made in their career and their lives.

There's a lot that we can also learn from bad bosses.... like mistakes not to make, how not to treat people, or how not to conduct ourselves as leaders.

Today let's end the week and release and give a shout out to your worst bosses ever for the lessons they taught us.

Celebrate them in the comments by beginning with "Thank you for.... ( say what you learned). Then tell the story of what they did.

Here's mine:

Thank you for teaching me to speak up for what I believe in! The way you demean others made me learn the skill to practice a few times in front of the mirror, but I eventually gain the confidence and courage to approach you, and let you know how your behavior was affecting the team. Now I am a bold confident leader who sees the valuein empowering my team. Thank you!

So today We celebrate you!!!🎊🥳🎉

What would you thank your worse boss for teaching you?

✨ Yesterday I smiled as I saw one of my front line team members walking briskly to a managers' training with notebook and pen in hand ready to absorb and learn in his new promotion.

That's because someone took the time to recognize him, to support him, and let him know his contribution he's been silently making was seen.

When you see a strength in someone, you don’t hide it, fear it, or compete with it. A true leader:

🎯 Calls it out

🌱 Creates space for it to grow

🚀 Positions that person where their strength can shine.

Because one of the greatest responsibilities of leadership isn’t just spotting the weaknesses in your team, it’s also recognizing the strengths in your people.

👉 Who’s someone in your life whose strength you need to affirm today?

If your team needs you for every little decision, every problem, and every interruption, you haven't built a team that can function without you.

You've built a job that cannot function without you.

And while you're busy being available to everyone, the work that actually needs your leadership keeps getting pushed back.

Being needed everywhere can quietly make you ineffective where you're needed most.

A leader can be calm in meetings, diplomatic with executives, and great at managing conflict in front of the team.

But if the same leader becomes controlling, disrespectful, dishonest, or impossible to work with once the audience changes, the leadership problem hasn't disappeared.

It has simply moved out of the meeting room.

The first person I ever fired taught me some of my biggest leadership lessons.

1. Tenure does not put anyone above accountability.

2. What you tolerate eventually affects the team.

3. Courageous leadership means doing what is right, even when you are afraid.

Have you ever had to make a leadership decision you were afraid to make?
