3 separate lakes make up Sandy Creek Ranch in Winnsboro, TX, each offering a distinct and unique fishery🔥 The latest trip reported 43 fish caught on a variety of moving and bottom baits!

Lake 1: The premier choice. This 8 acre lake is the best starting point for most anglers, offering a mix of fish species across various size classes. A well-stocked lake with plenty of opportunities for bass and other species. Equipped with a concrete boat ramp, this lake offers easy access for launching your boat.

Lake 2: Smaller but full of potential. A 2023 shock survey revealed a mix of big bass and an abundance of crappie. While it’s smaller, it offers unique structure and plenty of bank fishing opportunities, making it perfect for those who prefer to fish from the shore.

Lake 3: Ideal for bass harvesting. This lake features 1-2 lb bass in large numbers, as well as less structure compared to the other lakes. Harvesting bass here will help improve the fishery, creating the opportunity for bigger, more trophy-sized catches in the future. The back lake features a small boat launch, but we recommend boats no larger than 16 feet for optimal use.

ALMOST 10 POUNDER‼️ 9.8 pounds of meat out of Blackbird Lake in Fairfield, TX🥩

Nestled between Houston and Dallas, this 60-acre lake is part of a 1,600-acre ranch offering both serenity and great fishing. The lake was drained in 2019 and it was restocked in 2020 with coppernose bluegill, red ear sunfish, fathead minnows, threadfin shad and pure Florida bass.

The lake’s depth varies, with the deeper areas reaching up to 20 feet, while the back third of the lake remains shallower, under 5 feet, providing different habitats for aquatic life. The rock ramp offers easy access for launching full-size bass boats, and the covered dock adds to the charm and convenience of the area. It’s also great that the all-weather ranch road makes access quick and easy, enhancing the overall enjoyment of this private oasis.

7 pounder from today’s trip at Pecan Gap in Gainesville, TX!🐴

Just a few miles north of Gainesville, Pecan Gap offers 11 acres of prime fishing opportunities. With features like humps, points, islands, trees, and varying depths—ranging over 18 feet—this lake is a haven for big bass. Undergoing intensive management for the past few years, it boasts a healthy forage base of bluegill and gizzard shad, with tilapia added in the summer. You can also find slab crappie exceeding 16 inches.

For your convenience, there’s a mini pontoon boat available and a concrete boat ramp for bass boats like this one.
