March 8 many people got to together to celebrate the life of George Purvis, friend, mentor, teacher, Iyengar yoga practitioner, lover of life, Spiritual thinker and so much more. George Purvis transitioned this week. A few years ago he brought these 2 photos to hang side by side in the YogaMart studio. The left is George, the right is George’s teacher, BKS Iyengar. George was my teacher and mentor for over 25 years. I will miss him terribly but he will always be in my heart, in my practice and my teaching.

First day of early voting in Texas, I got my civic duty done this morning. A bit of a line, lots of smiling people doing their part. The poll workers were smiling, a rather festive mood. Fancy new stickers this year and Dum Dums. Get out and VOTE!
