Mariah Tapia put together one of the most complete performances of the Valley of the Sun Showcase.
Standing just 5'0", she proved that toughness, skill, and competitiveness have no height requirement. She scored from all three levels, knocked down shots from deep, created off the dribble, facilitated when needed, and defended the full 94 feet with relentless energy.

What impressed us most wasn't just her talent—it was her motor. Every drill, every possession, every matchup... she competed at full speed. During Queen of the Court, she battled—and eliminated—high school players nearly a foot taller than her, earning the Middle School title through pure grit and fearless play.

Pound for pound, Mariah was one of the best players in the gym. If she continues to develop physically while maintaining this work ethic and competitive drive, she has the potential to become one of the best players in the country when it's her time.

Standing 6'2" with exceptional length and a high motor, Ellana Stroude earned High School Top Prospect honors at the 2026 Valley of the Sun Showcase.

What separated Ellana was her ability to impact every possession. She protected the rim, altered shots, rebounded outside of her area, and defended with the versatility to contest both inside and on the perimeter.

Offensively, she displayed a mature feel for the game by controlling the pace, initiating the break after rebounds, organizing her teammates, and playing with outstanding poise. Add in her soft touch around the basket and fundamentally sound shooting mechanics, and it's easy to see why she stood out.

Ellana's combination of size, basketball IQ, versatility, and leadership made her one of the most complete prospects in attendance. Congratulations to our 2026 Valley of the Sun Showcase High School Top Prospect! 👏🏽🏆

The Atlanta Showcase is our final event of the season, bringing together some of the top girls' basketball talent in the country for an unforgettable two-day experience.

Day 1 is all about competing, learning, and earning your opportunity. On Day 2, selected top performers will take the floor for our All-Star Game at State Farm Arena before the Atlanta Dream vs. Chicago Sky matchup at 7 PM.

🎟️ Every participant will receive tickets for themselves and their family to attend the game. This experience is your opportunity to compete, be evaluated, create lasting connections, and finish the season on one of the biggest stages in the game.
