This is a prototype of a Viper that I'm working on. I've never used carbon in limbs before, so I'm trying it on this bow. The Viper is already fast, I just wanted to see if the carbon would make much difference. This bow will be camo dipped. Haven't checked the weight yet, around 47 # @28, 60"AMO.
Happy 4th of July everyone!

I received this message from Joella Bates last night. Congratulations Joella!
I won the Gold medal in the 65-69 women's barebow division of the Tennessee Senior Games Archery State Championship in the 900 round/60, 50, and 40 yards. I set a new state record (431) almost doubling the old one of 222.
I shot my Drop Tine Custom recurve that I got to shoot 5 days before the tournament. My first 900 target round with trad bow.

This Drop Tine is a special bow for a close friend whose turning 60 years old. He contacted me several months back and its taken a while to find the right wood. Mango is my favorite wood to work with because of the variations in color and grain. These limb veneers are Batik Mango. The riser wood is stabilized spalted chocolate mango with purpleheart accents. 46 # @28, 64"AMO.
